Ciara Miller is opening up about what she wants in a partner as she navigates life following her split from West Wilson and his new situationship with her co-star, Amanda Batula.
The “Summer House” star recently shared her expectations for dating and how recent events in the Bravosphere have shaped her perspective on relationships. Miller has also made it clear that she plans to approach future relationships differently.
Ciara Miller Shares Dating Standards and Expectations
In a new interview with Better Homes & Gardens, Miller outlined the qualities she looks for in a partner, focusing on small but consistent gestures.
“The date always needs to walk on the outside,” Miller said in a video shared on Instagram. “And in fact, when I go on a date, if they don’t immediately switch sides with me, I’m pissed.”
She also emphasized the importance of chivalry.
“Open the door, chivalry is not dead. Open the door,” she said. “You know what else is bare minimum? If you go out on a date, send a car.”
Miller added that she values manners, even if she is not focused on formal language. She also shared that she often relies on friend Mia Calabrese when navigating social situations.
Appearing on the “Smith Sisters Live” podcast, Miller described Calabrese as a strong support system.
“She has great social cues,” Miller said. “But she’s also great to go out with, and wing woman — I’m single, and she’s just like, we’re going to talk to — she’ll talk to anybody.”
The ‘Summer House’ Star Addresses the West Wilson and Amanda Batula Situation
Miller also spoke publicly for the first time about the situation involving Wilson and Batula, who confirmed they are dating.
“I want to do it in my way,” Miller told Glamour. “In a way that feels more intentional than just a podcast or a comment under a picture.”
She shared her reaction to the situation, noting the impact of the public attention.
“It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” Miller said. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf–k.”
Miller said she felt particularly affected by her friendship with Batula.
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she said. “But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long.”
She added, “I have championed you… And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is… I’m at a loss for words sometimes.”
Ciara Miller Plans Private Approach to Future Relationships
Following her recent experiences, Miller said she intends to keep future relationships more private.
During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in November 2024, she explained her approach.
“Honestly, I’ll never soft launch or hard launch anyone until my wedding day,” Miller said.
She reiterated that perspective in an interview with Us Weekly.
“I’ve dated two people on TV so far,” she said. “I think, like for me, I fare better just being more private in certain areas.”
Miller added that she prefers to keep certain aspects of her life off-camera.
“I feel like I do give so much on my show and in real life and in filming… but some things should be sacred to me, and me and myself only behind closed doors,” she said.
