Malia White is embracing motherhood after quietly welcoming her first child with partner Robert earlier this month.
The “Below Deck Mediterranean” alum confirmed the happy news in early February and shared an update during an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish on Feb. 12.
White Talks About Motherhood
“We had a baby girl. And she’s healthy and she’s home,” White said. “It’s been just over a week now.”
The reality star admitted she expected the early days at home to be difficult but was surprised by how much she loved the quiet time.
“When they say this first bubble time when you’re just at home… I thought it was going to drive me crazy,” she explained. “But I’ve actually loved it. It’s so nice.”
White has shared small glimpses of life with her newborn on Instagram, including cozy breakfasts in bed, dinners cooked by her partner, and sweet moments like her baby holding her finger.
She said her yachting career helped prepare her for sleepless nights.
“I feel like my job as an officer has trained me for this,” she joked, noting she and her partner are used to short bursts of sleep during overnight bridge watches.
Despite exhaustion, the couple recently celebrated making their first outing together, with White posting a smiling selfie captioned, “Made it out of the house!”
Why She Kept Her Pregnancy a Secret
When White announced her daughter’s birth on Feb. 6, she called the pregnancy her “nine-month secret.”
She later told The Daily Dish that keeping the news private wasn’t fully planned but felt right as the months went on.
“It was really special,” she explained. “Whether you like it or not, you get a lot of advice… and it’s already overwhelming.”
White said she wanted to experience pregnancy quietly with her partner and family instead of navigating constant outside opinions.
She ended up quirky sharing that she welcomed a child on social media, sparking a large amount of comments congratulating her new title of mom.
She added that she plans to continue protecting her daughter’s privacy for now, sharing only small details rather than full photos.
“Right now, I’m not sharing photos… because we’re still in our bubble,” she said, adding that tiny glimpses of toes and fingers feel just right for the moment.
As she settles into motherhood, White is soaking up every second of this new chapter—cherishing the quiet days, the sleepless nights, and the joy of getting to know her baby girl away from the spotlight.
