Mauricio Umansky is speaking out after Lala Kent revealed that he once sent her a direct message during the height of his separation from Kyle Richards.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star responded publicly this week after Kent shared the story on her “Untraditionally Lala” podcast, where she claimed Umansky reached out after hearing her discuss him on the show.
The revelation immediately sparked conversation among Bravo fans online, especially given the continued public attention surrounding Richards and Umansky’s separation.
Now, Umansky is offering his own version of what happened.

During a recent podcast episode, Kent recalled receiving a message from Umansky years ago while she was discussing him and Richards on her podcast, “Untraditionally Lala,” alongside her brother Easton Burningham and assistant Jessica Walter.
“But I got a DM of him saying something along the lines of, you know, I talk about him on my podcast, and he would like to grab a coffee,” Kent said.
Kent, who is currently starring on Season 3 of “The Valley,” also made clear that she never responded to the message.
“I just never opened it or responded. Like, there’s not a chance,” she added.
The story quickly circulated across Bravo fan accounts and entertainment outlets, with many fans connecting it to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Umansky and Richards’ personal lives following their 2023 separation.

TMZ later caught up with Umansky in Los Angeles and asked him directly about Kent’s comments.
“I don’t wanna talk [expletive],” Umansky said before adding, “But you’re a [expletive] liar!!!”
However, Umansky did acknowledge sending Kent a message. According to TMZ, he claimed the DM was much longer than Kent implied and said the coffee mention came at the very bottom of the message.
Umansky reportedly explained that he reached out because Kent frequently discussed him — and Richards — publicly on her weekly podcast and said he would have preferred she speak directly to him instead.
He also questioned how Kent would know exactly what the message said if she never opened it.
The interaction has quickly become another major Bravo talking point online as fans continue closely following updates involving Umansky and Richards.
