‘McBee Dynasty’ Stars Steven Jr. and Cole Tease ‘Bittersweet’ News Amid Legal Drama

Big farms and big business go hand in hand for “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” brothers Steven McBee Jr. and Cole McBee. The Missouri natives recently revealed that major developments are underway — and fans won’t have to wait long to find out what they are.

The Bravo stars teased the upcoming announcement on Steven’s “Meet the McBees” podcast, hinting that the news marks a significant step forward for their family enterprise.

During the episode, Steven shared that he and Cole are preparing to unveil something “wild” in the coming weeks.

“We’re not gonna announce it yet; that’ll be coming in the next couple [of] weeks,” Steven said. “But it’s been a big week for us here. To say the least.”

Cole, who became a first-time father this year, agreed that life had taken some unexpected turns. “You know, you really don’t know what life’s gonna throw at you, but it’s weird,” he said.

Steven noted that a lot can “completely change” in just 72 hours, adding that the developments were “definitely changing for the better.”

“I think it’s going to be a little bit bittersweet whenever we announce this, but we’ll announce it here over the next couple of weeks,” Steven continued. “It’s exciting for Cole and I; this is what Cole and I have been talking about for the last year.”

Cole added, “We’ve all been working on this one goal, and we’ve accomplished a lot this year. Like, so much. It’s crazy.”

Their announcement comes as the family prepares for a major legal update involving their father.

The business tease arrived the same week federal prosecutors filed a sentencing memorandum for their father, Steven McBee Sr. According to DTN, prosecutors recommended a sentence of 41 months in prison — far less than the 30-year maximum — after he pleaded guilty to multi-million-dollar crop insurance fraud earlier this year. Sentencing is set for October 16.

Steven Sr., who largely stayed off-camera in season 2, ran McBee Farm & Cattle in Gallatin, Missouri, with his four sons: Steven Jr., Cole, Jesse, and Brayden. The family operation spans crop farming, cattle ranching, and beef production, but their business ventures extend well beyond agriculture.

In season 2, viewers saw their Missouri–Arkansas chain of car washes become a backdrop for high-stakes investor meetings. Steven also secured a major brisket contract in Kansas City and revealed that their beef jerky line was producing “about a million snack sticks a month.”

Tree-cutting services, construction, and foam insulation are also part of the McBee portfolio, according to the family’s website.

Despite navigating close to $70 million in debt and their father’s legal case, Steven Jr. has remained optimistic. He told The Daily Dish earlier this year, “We’re not out of the woods yet. It’s still a challenge each and every day, but we’re in a much better position than we were in during season 2.”

“To say there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we actually have a path to saving the farm felt like a fever dream at one point — but it’s there and we can see it getting brighter and brighter every single day,” he added.

Seasons 1 and 2 of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” are available to stream on Peacock.
