Life in the Big Apple is a whole different vibe than spending weekend getaways in the Hamptons. Bravo has announced a new “Summer House” spinoff, “In the City,” starring fan-favorites Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cooke, and Amanda Batula.
While viewers are excited to see this cast tackle the fast-paced life that comes with living in New York City, fans are already hoping that one particular former housemate will make a return. After all, she calls Manhattan home.
Will Paige DeSorbo Make an Appearance on the ‘Summer House’ Spinoff?
GettyPaige DeSorbo announced back in June that she would not be returning to “Summer House” season 10, but is there a chance fans will see her in the Bravo show’s new spinoff?
With a working title called “In the City,” news of the spinoff was announced on Bravo’s Instagram. A short synopsis for the show, via People, reads: “In the city that never sleeps, a group of New Yorkers navigates the biggest transitions in their lives — marriage, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart. Can they have it all, or will they need to choose between the lives they’ve built and the futures they never saw coming?”
It’s already been confirmed that Hubbard, Cooke, and Batula will appear on the show. People also shared that Andrea Denver, who appeared on “Winter House” and several seasons of “Summer House,” will also be on the show, along with his wife, Lexi Sundin.
An Instagram post by @stephwithdadeets is hoping that DeSorbo will join her former housemates in “In the City,” with the comment section buzzing in agreement. It makes sense as DeSorbo already lives in Manhattan and could bring an intriguing storyline following her split from “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover.
Additionally, seeing DeSorbo working on her fashion label, Daphne, would be a treat for fans.
“We need Paige!” A fan wrote in the comment section. “We NEED Paige!!! I love everyone else but yea PAIGE PLEASE!!” Another comment read.
Amanda Batula Hinted at DeSorbo’s Reality TV Return
GettyFans were crushed to hear that DeSorbo was stepping away from “Summer House.” However, her bed-rotting gal pal and co-star, Amanda Batula, hinted that DeSorbo’s reality TV career was not totally over.
During an interview with The New York Post in June, Batula shared, “I’d like to think that she’s not done. I know she is not done with TV. That girl was born for TV. So I know we’ll be seeing plenty of her.”
However, Batula hoped DeSorbo would make a cameo for “Summer House” season 10. “If we can get it together to throw a second annual snooze fest, I know our girl won’t miss it. So hopefully we can make that happen.”
In a recent cover story for Byrdie, along with her “Giggly Squad” co-host, Hannah Berner, DeSorbo shared why she made the ultimate decision to part ways with “Summer House” after seven seasons.
“I know I would’ve been doing a disservice to [the show]. They expect a certain level of showing up, and I couldn’t give them that,” she said. “Being on reality TV, there’s a level — this is a harsh word — of, like, brainwashing. That’s not real life,” she added.
So, while a full-time return for DeSorbo on “In the City” may be unlikely, here’s hoping she makes at least a cameo or two.
