Whitney Rose Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Secrets About the BDDU Crossover

“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Whitney Rose is spilling new behind-the-scenes tea from this season’s much-talked-about crossover with “Below Deck Down Under” — and let’s just say the crew of the M/Y Katina is probably still recovering. While Captain Jason Chambers famously posted, “What happens onboard stays onboard, NO RECEIPTS,” after the season 6 charter, Rose did not get that memo. In fact, she revealed that the RHOSLC women left behind a mess so intense it required a full-on yacht makeover.

Whitney Rose Says RHOSLC Left the BDDU Crew With a Carpet Disaster

During an exclusive Bravo HQ interview, Rose admitted that producers weren’t exaggerating when they showed the chaos of Zombie Night. “They had to replace the carpet in Heather [Gay] and I’s room,” she revealed, adding that the damage came from more than just makeup. “It was partly due to the fake blood from Zombie Night.”

In episode 8, viewers watched Gay spray theatrical blood across the room while getting ready for dinner, prompting Bronwyn Newport to warn, “Don’t do that on the carpet!” Cameras captured red stains on the floor — but according to Rose, that was only the beginning.

“There was also real blood,” she added. “Heather stubbed her toe, so you couldn’t tell what was what. And then the freaking body paint.” Makeup, fake gore, and accidental injuries: the Katina carpet truly did not stand a chance.

But the chaos didn’t end in their cabin. Rose shared that Gay unknowingly left her mark on the crew, too. “This is so shady, and Heather’s going to kill me, but just notice when we arrive and leave, when she hugs them in their white shirts,” Rose joked. “The amount of spray tan and makeup left behind on the crew was hysterical to me.”

Lisa Barlow and Angie Katsanevas Praise Captain Jason After the Chaotic Crossover

Despite the mess, the RHOSLC cast only had glowing reviews for Captain Jason. Lisa Barlow said on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” that she “loved Captain Jason,” adding, “He works really hard. He does a really good job.”

Angie Katsanevas echoed the praise, revealing that Captain Jason tended to her multiple times when seasickness left her bedridden. “He was bringing me soup, bringing me tea, bringing me ginger,” Angie shared. “It felt like the good doctor was in the house. He was so kind.”

She summed up her experience simply by telling BravoTV.com: “Five-star review for my Below Deck experience, and for their team.”

Fans can catch new episodes of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” every Tuesday on Bravo.
