“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Whitney Rose, along with her season 6 cast mates, spilled all the juicy behind-the-scenes details from their highly anticipated charter around Canouan on the “Below Deck Down Under” yacht.
Heather Gay’s Hilarious Mishap
Whitney recalled one moment from episode 7 involving Heather Gay that occurred before they even boarded the yacht.
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, she admitted, “this is so shady, and Heather’s gonna kill me, but just notice when we arrive and leave, when she hugs them in their white shirts.” Whitney was referencing Captain Jason Chambers and his “BDDU” Season 4 crew.
“The amount of spray tan and makeup left behind on the crew was hysterical to me,” she said. “As I turned around for, like, one last wave, I was like [points and laughs].”
More BTS Details From the ‘BDDU’ Crossover
Whitney and several of the other housewives in separate interviews with Bravo HQ revealed even more unaired moments from their Canouan trip.
Whitney revealed that she was the mastermind behind the “game” where the ladies tried to deter Britani Bateman from talking about her on-and-off romance with Jared Osmond by splashing her with water whenever she mentioned him.
“I’m trying to help Britani make up her mind if she’s gonna date Jared or not date Jared,” Whitney explained. “And so, I just got so sick of hearing his name on our trip that I thought it’d be a fun way, like how you train your dogs, you know?”
According to Lisa Barlow, “she was doused. All we needed to do is add some conditioner in and rinse, repeat, and she would’ve been ready to go for the next day. It was a shower.”
“I think at one point Whitney chased me around with the pitcher of water,” said Britani. “It was a lot. But, I mean, again, I think they mean well. But it started to get a little bit much.”
Meanwhile, Angie Katsanevas was unfortunately stuck in her room with a bad case of seasickness. “I had no idea how sick I would get on the yacht. I threw up like 25 times that day,” Angie said. It got so bad that she had to remain lying “like a corpse” in bed to stop herself from throwing up.
“Captain Jason was coming in and bringing me soup, bringing me tea, bringing me ginger,” Angie continued. “He tried everything and nothing was making me feel better, except his visits. I mean, I really felt like I was in a five-star hospital. It was like, you know, the good doctor was in the house. He was so kind.”
“I laughed because I had my eyes closed and I just could not have felt, you know, less attractive laying there in my big boat pajamas and smelling like I’d been throwing up for 24 hours,” Angie said. “And I opened my eyes and he’s standing there in a black shirt with the gold patches. And I thought, like, ‘Did I die and go to heaven?'”
She concluded, “his visits definitely made me feel better. He was just very sweet and kind and compassionate.”
Mary Cosby also came to her aid. She skipped the cast dinner and ate chef Ben Robinson’s meals in their shared room to keep Angie company.
“Just knowing someone was there, it made me feel like I was also enjoying the meal,” Angie said.
