“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Lisa Barlow has been at the center of the drama unfolding throughout Season 6. Amidst the accusations and rumors of infidelity and financial trouble, Lisa has positioned herself against the rest of the “RHOSLC” housewives. In episode 5, Lisa’s conflict with Angie Katsanevas came to a head.
The ‘Witch Hunt’ Against Lisa in Season 6
In the season premiere episode, Bronwyn Newport brought up the buzz surrounding Lisa’s ongoing legal battles to the rest of the housewives. After Lisa found out that Angie had compared her to Jen Shah, the tension between the two housewives began to mount. Jen is a former “RHOSLC” cast member who was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that defrauded thousands of people.
Fred Hayes/BravoIn episode 3, Lisa invited the rest of the housewives to a luncheon that, she believed, would finally put the allegations against her to bed. The “RHOSLC” star came armed with poster boards that apparently showcased her official legal documents, and the word “DISMISSED” was stamped in red across all of them. The explosive lunch saw Whitney Rose storming out and Angie crossing a line by badmouthing Lisa’s son’s product line, “Fresh Wolf.” Once Heather Gay intervened, the housewives eventually exchanged teary-eyed apologies, and it seemed as though they were all in a better place with each other.
That is, until Lisa sent her assistant to Angie’s salon to remove her son’s hair products from their shelves.
At the end of episode 4, Angie took it upon herself to seek out Meredith Marks, one of Lisa’s allies, to warn her about Lisa’s true intentions. Angie revealed to her that Lisa had asked her to dig up dirt on Meredith’s family members in the past. This news left Meredith reeling, and the fans wondering what bombshell was going to drop in the next episode.
What Went Down Between the “RHOSLC” Members on Episode 5?
At Whitney’s “Telepathic Tasting” wine and psychic reading event, a confrontation between Meredith and Lisa was already brewing on the horizon. But those two weren’t the only housewives who got riled up once the wine started to flow.
Realtor and real estate developer, Britani Bateman was offended when she found out that Angie listed her house without consulting her. In the middle of this, Britani got a call from her on-again-off-again ex-fiancé Jared, despite the fact that she promised Whitney she would take a break from dating for the sake of her daughter.
Meredith brought up her conversation with Angie to Lisa in front of everyone. She asked Lisa point blank if she wanted to spread negative rumors about her family, but Lisa denied this, shooting back that Angie was making all of that up. This led to verbal blows between Angie and Lisa. Whitney had to physically put herself in between the two during their screaming match. “At this point, they’ll be haunting each other in the next life,” said Whitney.
Heather and Mary Cosby brought up the fact that Angie was being hypocritical since she went along with Lisa’s antics back when they were friends. Instead of hearing them out, Angie brought out a tub of gifts that Lisa got her, like a personalized “Vida Tequila” bottle, a brand of tequila Lisa launched with her husband, John Barlow.
So, how did the “Telepathic Tasting” come to an end? Lisa left the event early, and Mary followed in her footsteps after Angie got mad at her for trying to keep the peace. What’s going to happen now that Angie and Mary’s friendship is on the rocks?
