“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Whitney Rose shared all-new details about her and her husband’s failed business “Wild Rose Beauty,” the loss they faced together, and how they managed to get back on their feet and move on with their new business ventures.
The Unfortunate Failure of ‘Wild Rose Beauty’
“I have a jewelry company, PRISM, and Wild Rose Beauty skincare. I decided to merge my skincare company into another entity and create a new one with my husband [Justin],” Whitney explained in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “We had massive success in the beginning, and some things transpired that I can’t talk about legally, but I decided to resign as CEO in November of 2024 after launching in June of 2024. It was really hard, because I merged my beauty brand into it, so I had to close the doors on that and fight for my brand back.”
Though it was an incredibly tough decision for the “RHOSLC” star to step down as CEO, it turned out to be the right one. “Luckily, I was able to see the writing on the wall quick enough and pump the brakes and stop the bleeding. What was the true loss was that we had massive success, and I thought I finally did it. I finally hit the jackpot of why I’ve built this brand and built this business. For it to not be that and to lose six figures is devastating.”
They had to fire 30 employees, and Whitney was left feeling defeated, which she discussed in the “RHOSLC” Season 6 premiere.
Rose Bravely Shares Her Truth on ‘WWHL’
On October 14, Whitney appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” with Justin sitting in the live audience. “You’re really leaning into your honesty,” Andy pointed out.
“I am,” said Whitney. “I have strong feelings, as everyone knows, and I’ve chosen to lead this year with authenticity, completely, and fully transparent. I’m not gonna fake my life. And this is what I’m going through, and it’s not always pretty.” Following this statement, the live audience erupted into loud cheers, inspired by the housewife.
When asked by about how much they lost, Whitney said, “a lot,” confirming that the amount is north of half a million dollars.

How Whitney & Justin are Moving Forward Together
Whitney continued to explain to US Weekly, “I have other businesses, and despite the public’s opinion, I am good with money, and I have other investments. Justin and I just took a sabbatical for a couple of months and decided to reset and decide what we’re going to do next. But it’s been hard,” she said.
Whitney has regained control of Wild Rose Beauty, though it was “a very expensive fight,” she revealed exclusively to Bravo. “We’re back selling. It’s been amazing to see that people are stepping up and still supporting me. Right now, I have my skincare line back and I’m working on some new stuff right now; just getting back into the rhythm of getting sales going and getting my customers aware that we’re back.”
“As hard as it was, I’m starting to see that it’s gonna be fine,” Whitney concluded. “I built it once, I can build it again.”
