Red Hot Chili Peppers Star Flea Relists Stunning $8 Million Malibu Home: PHOTOS

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist and co-founder Flea has relisted his Malibu home, putting it back on the market for $7.995 million. The 63-year-old rocker, whose real name is Michael Balzary, first purchased the property in 2020 for $7.55 million and has subsequently offered it for rent before putting it up for sale at a price of $8.495 million.

Now you can get a glimpse inside the unique property, which has exclusive access to a beachfront, which is just one of several million-dollar estates that Flea owns.

Flea Relists Malibu for Just Under $8 Million

The property is located within the exclusive Malibu Colony, a secluded gated community that is under 24 hour guard to ensure the privacy and security of the residents. According to the listing for the estate, it has impressive views of a number of California’s natural areas, including Surfrider Beach, Malibu Lagoon, and the nearby mountains.

The 3,180 square foot building is equipped with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with floor-to-ceiling glass filling every room with natural light. The inside is decorated with warm wood accents and there’s a dedicated media den for entertainment.

In keeping with the idea of the home being a retreat, there’s a private wellness area, which includes a cedar hot tub, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge facility. Meanwhile, the garden features a koi pond, a fire pit, and even an outdoor kitchen for cooking in the fresh air.

The building also has its own detached guesthouse and a rooftop space. As part of the facilities, the owners of the home also get access to the nearby Colony Beach, which is not publicly accessible.

Flea first put the property up for sale in March 2026 and has since had to drop the price by about $500,000 to try and entice a buyer. It was previously available to rent at a price of $75,000.

Flea Reveals Bizarre Accident That Led To Head Injury

The musician recently revealed that he had experienced a bizarre accident that had left him with a head injury. The story was told on an episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” when he appeared on stage with a notable white bandage on his forehead.

According to Flea, the injury occurred while he was hosting a radio show for Apple Music. He had taken a break during the broadcast to go to the bathroom and while rushing to return ran into a glass door.

“I was doing a radio show for Apple Music the other day,” he said. “I was playing a Lee Morgan song, a great song called ‘Stopstart’ with Billy Higgins on drums. There were three minutes left in the song and I said ‘I got to go pee’, so I have three minutes before I introduce the next tune.”

He continued, “I jump up, I run down the hallway, I pee, I’m coming back. I’m wearing my reading glasses, I yell something to someone, running full sprint down the hallway, and bam! Smack into a glass door, flat on my back, blood spurting out of my head.”

“I’m laying there going ‘Oh man, I’ve got to do the Fallon Show in a few days… I’ll tell him I got into a fight.'”
