Corey Feldman had a fanboy moment nearly four months after his exit from “Dancing with the Stars.”
The actor, best known for his work as a child star in the beloved 1980s movies “Gremlins,” “The Goonies,” “Stand By Me,” “The Lost Boys,” “License to Drive,” and more, recently reunited with his “Lost Boys” co-star Jamison Newlander at FAN EXPO New Orleans.
In addition, Feldman, 54, and Newlander, 55, posed with “Back to the Future” icon Christopher Lloyd, 87, during the pop culture convention as they brought fans back to the 1980s in a major way.
Corey Feldman Said He Brought Doc Brown Back From The Future
Feldman, Newlander, and Lloyd were all celebrity guests at FAN EXPO New Orleans. The fanfest was held January 9th to 11th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in Louisiana, per a press release.
Feldman and Newlander co-starred together in the 1987 film “The Lost Boys,” playing vampire-hunting brothers Edgar and Alan Frog. Lloyd played eccentric scientist Doc Brown in the 1985 film “Back to the Future.”
At the New Orleans fan fest, the trio posed for a photo, which Feldman posted on X with a cute caption.
“GR8 SCOTT WE CAME BACK FROM 1987, & BROUGHT GOOD OL DOC BROWN BACK FROM THE FUTURE JUST 2 TAKE THIS PIC W THE #OGFROGBROS W #CHRISTOPHERLLOYD & [Jamison Newlander],” Feldman wrote in his signature all-caps format. “@FANEXPONOLA THIS WEEKEND! O HAPPY DAYS! NOW WHERES THAT FLIX CAPACITOR?!”
Feldman seemed super excited to run into Lloyd at the convention. When a fan asked if he got the legendary actor’s autograph, Feldman replied, “We don’t get each other’s autographs lol. Unless it’s 4 a family member, but no.”
Corey Feldman Said He Has ‘Instant Magic’ With Jamison Newlander Onscreen
The fan event was also exciting for “Lost Boys” fans as Feldman reunited with his movie brother.
Feldman, who was 14 when he filmed “The Lost Boys,” told Forbes that by that point in his career, he was able to “assess a script” and his character’s development.
“Edgar Frog was the first time where I really had to create a character that was completely disconnected, completely separated from me as a human and becoming this other guy,” he said of the teen vampire hit. “I really dug getting into that and creating a character and manifesting this human.“
Of working with Newlander, he added, “When they first connected me with Jamison, it was a day where they brought in several different potential Alans, and I was reading with all of them. It was kind of like, ‘Where’s the chemistry going to be?’ As soon as Jamison and I read together, there was just this instant magic where I just knew that he took it very seriously. He’s very dedicated.”
