Entertainment legend Donny Osmond shared a touching social media tribute to his friend and martial arts legend Chuck Norris, reflecting on their friendship and the impact Norris had on his life.
Osmond spoke of how the film star taught him and his brothers, the Osmonds, invaluable life lessons. He also shared his sorrow over the icon’s passing.
Donny Osmond Called Chuck Norris One of the ‘Kindest’ Souls
The day Chuck Norris passed, Donny Osmond took to Instagram to share his friendship with the martial arts master. He revealed all he learned from the “Walker, Texas Ranger” star.
In the post, the “Dancing With the Stars” mirrorball winner shared a series of three photos in a slideshow. The first featured the entertainer alongside Norris and his brother, Jay Osmond.
In a second image, Jay, Jimmy, Wayne, Merrill, and Alan Osmond were photographed together demonstrating a karate move. The final photo showed the family band onstage, showing off the skills they learned from Norris.
“Heartbroken to hear of Chuck Norris’s passing. In the early ’70s, Elvis [Presley] introduced my brothers and me to Chuck to add karate — including teaching me how to break boards — to our act in order to put forth a tougher onstage image,” Osmond wrote.
“He taught us Tang Soo Do and pushed us to be stronger in every way. Tough in training, but one of the kindest souls you could ever know,” he continued.
“I’ll always be grateful. Rest well, my friend.”

I enjoyed “Walker Texas Ranger” very much. It was a family show with no swearing at all & since I am a Christian I appreciated that very much. Also knowing he was also a Christian was also awesome. RIP my friend, RIP.
