Gleb Savchenko Wanted ‘Better’ Scores This Past Week on DWTS

Gleb Savchenko Reflects on ‘DWTS’ Week 2 Scores

Savchenko and Baldwin hit the “DWTS” dance floor to perform the tango to the song “What Is Love” by Haddaway for One Hit Wonders night.

They received 7s from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.

Following the episode, Savchenko spoke to TooFab, voicing his disappointment about their scores. “It would be nice to be a little bit more validated with better scores,” he noted.

The pro dancer continued, “I felt like we could have gotten at least one eight or two eights, because it gives you that like confidence that we’re doing something right.”

He added, “And I feel the tango that we performed tonight was the best tango of the night.”

Baldwin gave her partner rave reviews, sharing, “He’s the easiest one out of it. He’s a dream. He pushes me. He has moments where he’s looking at me like, ‘You can do better,’ but I don’t take that as offensive.”

She added, “I take it as I need to do better, and that’s it.”

Gleb Savchenko & Hilaria Baldwin Had a Scare During Eliminations

During the double elimination announcement on the September 23 episode of “Dancing With the Stars,” Savchenko and Baldwin were the last to be called safe.

In a post-show interview with TV Insider, Baldwin shared what it felt like to see her fellow contestants sent home.

“One of the most surprising things about this show has been how close I have gotten, how we’ve all gotten, with every single person here,” she said. “So, no matter what, it’s sad.”

Baldwin continued, “I was brought to tears because you fall in love with these people and you see how hard they work, and we all just want to dance.”

She added, “It could have been us. I just don’t want anyone to ever be sad ever. It’s really hard to say goodbye to our friends.”

Savchenko shared how impressed he is with Baldwin’s determination and hard work. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a partner like Hilaria,” he explained.

The pro dancer noted, “I feel like I’m driving a Ferrari on a Sunday morning with no L.A. traffic. I feel so blessed like I’m back into my competition days. She’s all about artful dance. She’s such a hard worker.”

“I’m just grateful for every single day [and] for every single moment that I get to spend with Hilaria,” he added.
