‘DWTS Contestant Jen Affleck Roasts Ben Affleck in Dunkin Commercial

Dunkin has introduced a new face to its ads — and it comes with a playful twist on Hollywood’s most famous Affleck. Jen Affleck, star of Hulu’s “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” headlines the coffee chain’s latest commercial, where she dubs herself the “Value Affleck” while taking lighthearted jabs at Ben Affleck.

The spot, released Sept. 15, highlights Dunkin’s $6 Meal Deal and plays up the long-running family rumors tied to the reality star and the Oscar-winning actor.

The “Value Affleck” Takes the Spotlight in New Dunkin’ Ad

In the new campaign, a Dunkin employee calls out an order for “Affleck,” sparking anticipation among customers who expect Ben to appear. Instead, Jen walks in and sets the record straight.

“Expecting my cousin Ben? Nah,” she says with a grin. “When Dunkin’ has something packed with amazing value, they bring me in. Jen Affleck, the Value Affleck. Twice the personality, half the price.”

The season 34 “Dancing With the Stars” contestant goes on to pitch Dunkin’s $6 Meal Deal, which includes a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, hash browns, and a medium coffee. She doesn’t hold back in comparing her value to Ben’s reputation.

“You know what’s not value? Ben,” she says. “Why overpay for something that nobody wants? He’s so dated. I’m younger, hotter. Can you believe Ben’s only 53? That’s not like a young 53, it’s like a weathered 53.”

Ben eventually appears at the drive-thru, responding with dry humor: “Totally average 53. Right down the 53 fairway.”

Playing Off “Mormon Wives” & Viral Affleck Family Rumors

The commercial taps into the viral speculation surrounding Jen’s supposed relation to Ben. On “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Jen once claimed her husband Zac Affleck was Ben’s second cousin. Genealogists later debunked the connection, but Jen leaned into the buzz with jokes and TikToks referencing her last name.

By the time Season 2 aired, Zac clarified on the show that no family tie existed, but the rumor had already cemented Jen’s playful brand.

In response to the buzz-worthy collab, co-stars and celebrities joined in on the fun and showed support online. Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex Dakota Mortensen commented, “This is the coolest thing ever 😂🙌,” while Jessi Draper Ngatikaura added, “Iconic 😂❤️🔥.” Jen’s husband also chimed in: “Something about Jen’s and Ben’s they can never get along 🤷‍♂️😂.”

Even “Dancing with the Stars” pro Julianne Hough reacted, commenting, “I’m deceased!!!! 🔥👏💀.”

A Dunkin Ad With Star Power

For Ben, the spot continues his long-running partnership with Dunkin, where he’s appeared in several ads over the years. For Jen, it marked her first major commercial — and she admitted the experience of sharing the screen with Ben was surreal.

“It was my first acting gig, honestly,” Jen told Us Weekly ahead of the ad’s release. “I didn’t know my first acting gig would be with an Oscar-winning actor.”

The reality star also shared that while Ben might not be familiar with her show, his daughter is. “I don’t know if he’s watched the show. But his daughter has,” she said. “His daughter was there and she’s a huge fan. She’s like, ‘It’s OK, we can be related. As long as I’m related to Jen, we’re chilling.’”

The unlikely pairing shows that Dunkin isn’t done having fun with the Affleck name. Whether they’re cousins or not, Jen and Ben have now shared a moment in pop culture history — over a $6 Meal Deal.
