Joey Lawrence and his second wife, Samantha Cope, are expecting their second baby, and they’ve given fans a glimpse into their lives and Cope’s pregnancy. In a video posted on Instagram on Friday, March 27, the couple shows their playful side, acting out a voice-over by a young child and their father.

“I’m big, I’m brave, and I’m beautiful,” the father tells the child, who repeats what he says in the voice-over. Lawrence and Cope then embrace in a sweet moment. The actor captioned the post with, “You got this,” seemingly referring to Cope giving birth.
Fans praise the pair for the sweet video. “Omg I love this so much,” a fan wrote. “She’s glowing. Soon will come baby,” another person shared. Other reactions include, “Too cute. Lawrence, who competed on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 3 in 2006 and placed third alongside professional dancer Edyta Sliwinska, reunited with Cope in December 2024, after she filed for divorce in August 2024. They share one child, a daughter, Dylan. In November 2025, they revealed in an Instagram post that they were expecting a son. Their daughter is dressed in a blue dress with blue socks, and Cope has her nails painted blue.
In the caption, she wrote, “I’ll never be over this feeling. thankful for our beautiful growing family #gratitude.” Lawrence is also a father to two other children: his teenage daughters Liberty and Charleston, whom he shares with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
The couple appears to be incredibly happy after their reconciliation, and fans are rooting for them. “As much you don’t want to take an easy way out, or you think this will be the fix — it’s not always the case. I just didn’t want to do that. And she didn’t either,” Lawrence said in an interview with E! News in July 2025 about how he and Cope made their relationship work. “It’s like, ‘Wait a minute. There’s something so special here.’”
He continued, “Things take a lot of work and a lot of dedication and reworking and retooling. That’s life, though. As brothers, with your parents, with friends, in business, that’s it. Everything takes so much work. Whatever it is, just don’t give up, because you never know.”
