Priscilla Presley Suffers Heartbreaking Loss — ‘Thank You for Filling My Life with Love’

While plenty of people enjoyed an Easter weekend filled with family, bunnies and chocolate, Priscilla Presley was also dealing with a devastating loss. The “Dancing with the Stars” alum has revealed that her beloved rescue dog, Ridley, has passed away.

Ridley ‘Will Be Deeply Missed’

Presley took to Instagram on Friday, April 3, to post a reel that included a sweet image of herself with Ridley. In the caption, Presley wrote, “I rescued you many years ago when you were in need, and you were always there for me in mine. I will miss you, shadowing every step I take.”

She continued her message to her precious pet by writing, “Thank you for filling my life with love. You will be deeply missed, my sweet Ridley.”

Although Presley limited the comments on her post, there were still plenty of messages of support and love for the star. One person wrote, “The most important thing is that you were there for this precious soul. Thank you for all that you do for these animals you are truly such a blessing for this! May this beautiful soul rest in peace. 🤍”

Another follower added, “I’m so sorry 😢 Such a cutie. Take comfort in knowing he is always with you 💗”

“I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing our sweet companions is a terrible thing to experience. Your sweet baby was lucky to have been rescued by you and to have known love ♥️,” came from someone else.

Another person left a comment, saying, “I’m so sorry for your loss, Priscilla. My heart truly goes out to you, he was such a beautiful pup. Thank you for everything you do for these precious animals, you are such a blessing to them. 🤍🥺”

Priscilla Has Spent Her Life Saving Animals

Presley’s love for animals goes back to when she was a child and has continued throughout her life. In fact, she rescued her first pet when she was just a little girl.

“When Priscilla Presley was five years old, she found a puppy wandering alone and couldn’t turn away. 💙💚 Growing up in a military family where pets weren’t allowed, she hid that puppy in her closet and begged her parents to let her keep it,” according to American Humane Society. “That simple act of kindness started a lifelong commitment to protecting animals everywhere.”

Just last year, in January 2025, Presley shared a Facebook post with a caption that noted, “I have rescued many animals through the years. The love they give is unconditional.”
