Lisa Kudrow & Mira Sorvino Discuss Feeling Nervous
GettyIn an interview with People on August 15, Kudrow and Sorvino discussed reprising their roles and how they felt nervous. “I was very nervous,” Kudrow said. “[I was thinking], ‘Oh no — am I just doing an imitation of Michele? Because that’s the fear sometimes with revisiting [roles].”
Sorvino added, “The first day it was like, ‘Wait, am I just imitating things Romy used to do or say? … And then eventually it was like, ‘Yeah, Romy’s back. She’s using my skin suit.’”
In their joint interview the co-stars also revealed that they are friends and have stayed in contact. “I come to Lisa for advice,” Sorvino said. “She’s an incredibly sage, brilliant person. And she’s funny, thoughtful, and just a great person. And Lisa’s also the funniest woman. I mean, Lisa is our premier comedian. She really is.”
In the interview, Kudrow also complimented Sorvino, saying she was “super smart” and that she went to Harvard and can speak Chinese. Sorvino added, “I think she’s super smart. Oh, my gosh. She was going to the doctor. And she liked acting better.”
