When Emily Blunt arrived at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles on November 16, she opted to wear a bold dress that was more than a little eye-catching.
“The actor pulled a silky, floor-length gown in candy-apple red straight from Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway,” according to Harper’s Bazaar. “Staying true to the brand’s surrealist aesthetic, the gown featured a grand, layered design on one shoulder that resembled a rosette in bloom, or a beautiful, exotic bird.”
Of course, they noted that “maybe the most unexpected detail was the sheer, V-shaped panel that traveled down from the waist, adding a daring, sexy twist to the elegant piece.”

GettyIs Emily More Stylish than Her ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Character?
When fans think about Emily and style, then might automatically recall her role in “The Devil Wears Prada,” which she happens to be reprising for a sequel. However, have you ever considered who has better style, Emily or, well, Emily?
“Emily Blunt’s ‘Devil Wears Prada’ alter ego, Emily Charlton, may hold fashion-magazine credentials, but we can confirm that the actor is the one with better style,” according to Glamour. “No disrespect to the costume department, but Blunt’s latest look is infinitely cooler than anything we’ve seen from the set of The Devil Wears Prada sequel.”
Emily showed her fans that’s true when she appeared at the London premiere of “The Smashing Machine” wearing an ensemble that is perfectly on-trend in more than one way.
Getty“In case you need us to break it down for you, Emily Blunt wore three of fall’s hottest trends, all in one look,” Glamour explained. “They are: chocolate brown, the color of the season that’s appropriate for the office, for parties, and of course, the red carpet (should you find yourself attending a movie premiere); a satin finish, which is definitely having a comeback; and polka-dot-printed tights, a timeless essential that Blunt and her stylist Jessica Paster paired with matching burgundy Jimmy Choo heels for a super-seamless look.”
Emily Likes to ‘Hide’ in Clothes
During a September interview with Emily, Net-A-Porter noted, “In her real life, Blunt prefers to go casual; today, she’s in a matching silk set with a baggy jean jacket layered on top.”
Emily explained, “I drown myself in clothes. I quite like oversized; I like to hide, I like to shroud.”
GettyNet-A-Porter added, “When she goes out, she’ll dress it up – jewelry, a little makeup – but still grounds it all with a pair of sneakers.”
“I don’t love wearing heels, so getting back to ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ has been a rude awakening for all of us,” Emily admits.
And what does Emily think about wearing stilettos for the film?
“Wild,” Blunt says with a playful smile due to the fact that she isn’t allowed to open up about the movie quite yet. “I’ll say that.”
