On September 7, 2025, Gorga attended the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards and opted to wear a sheer black dress. With a top made of lace and the skirt section that boasted both the lace and a see-through area that featured sparkling details, she wore a pair of high-waisted panties underneath.

GettyMelissa Revealed the Style Advice She’d Give Her Former Self
GettyIn April 2025, People noted that Gorga “may be one of the most stylish among the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies, but, looking back on the beginnings of her onscreen career, she admits she could’ve done with some sartorial boundaries that would’ve helped show her personal style more authentically.”
Opening up about the style-related advice she wishes she could give to herself when she first started out on TV, she said, “Oh my god, take off, like three pieces of jewelry.”
Gorga explained that at the time, producers would request that she wear large eye-catching pieces to “lean into the Jersey” vibe. However, she revealed, “I feel like my style is probably the least Jersey [inspired] of the crew.”
“In the beginning, I would listen,” Gorga continued. “I would add the bracelets and the necklaces. Then after a while, I was like, absolutely not. It’s not happening.”
While she’s still willing to wear some statement items and accessories, she insists that they’re now styled in a way that she prefers.
