Ahead of the Miss Universe 2025 finale on November 20 at 8 p.m. ET, the delegates have been competing in preliminaries. This includes the preliminary evening gown round on November 19. It appeared to be going well until Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry sustained an injury after falling from the stage.

The shocking and unexpected moment was shared on Instagram on Thursday, November 19, by Meekii Modez. The clip shows Henry walking in a stunning orange gown, before she falls and disappears off the stage. Fans immediately feared for her health, and the post’s comment section has been flooded with shock and wishes for Henry’s speedy recovery.
“Is she alive? Omg,” a fan shared. “I pray she’s okay,” another commented.
Other reactions include, “OMG!!! I hope shes fine,” “She did amazing! I’m hoping she’s okay for finals,” and “Omg this is so hard to watch. That was a hard fall.”
Thankfully, the video’s caption later provided an update on Henry’s health. “Fell off the Stage!!It took awhile for staffs to get Her back to backstage,” the caption reads. “We hope she ll be alright really soon.” And then came the welcome update, “Update from Mr. Raul Rocha … Miss Jamaica Stable After Hospital Visit; No Broken Bones.”

Does this mean that Henry still has a chance to win the competition, or is her journey over? “She can still make it to top 30, if she recovers speedily. Her performances before the fall were exceptional,” a fan shared. “They will not penalized her because she fell from that stage, especially showing it was not just a little mishap it was a serious fall. They will should compassion especially because she was doing well before.”
The Miss Universe organization revealed further information on Henry’s injury. “She was rushed to the Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries,” a statement reads on Instagram. “However, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.”
The Miss Universe Organization President, Raul Rocha, also commented on Henry’s health in a statement posted on Instagram. The statement informs fans that she is with family and “under good care,” and that she would “remain under observation for the rest of the night.” There was no update on whether she would be able to return to the competition in time for the finale.
