Earlier this month, Hayek opened up about embracing aging in an interview with Marie Claire. “There was a time when I was the sexy girl, but thank God age came and gave me the ability to expand to other territories,” she said.

When asked by Glamour in 2023 if her “best professional moments” would happen in her 50s, Hayek joked, “Oh my God, do I have to wait that long?” She later added that the anticipation was worth it.

“I thought getting older meant I wasn’t going to work; I’m working,” she told the outlet. “I thought getting older maybe meant that you’re not in love anymore; I’m in love. I don’t feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength. I have found it beautiful, getting older with someone.”

‘59 Trips Around the Sun and Still Dancing’

The “Frida” star recently celebrated her 59th birthday with a joyful bikini photo on Instagram that captured her signature confidence. “59 trips around the sun and still dancing ☀️💃🏻 cheers to all of you & thank you for the love 🎂🎉♥️,” she wrote in English and Spanish.

Hayek has also spoken candidly about changing beauty standards for women over 50. “I don’t know if the mindset [around aging] has changed that much or if it is that now women, when we are in our fifties, we’re still hot,” she told Good Housekeeping. “But what is indisputable is that our generation broke many walls, and we are an incredible workforce.”

With her radiant presence at LACMA and her empowering perspective on aging, Hayek continues to inspire fans with her mix of confidence, grace, and authenticity, proving that Glamour truly has no age limit.
