Benjamin Ayres and Emilie Ullerup are both Hallmark staples. However, they have never worked together on a movie or series, and they both enthusiastically want to change that.
Emilie Ullerup and Benjamin Ayres Plea for Hallmark Movie
Ullerup has appeared in several movies and starred on the hit show “Chesapeake Shores.” Ayres has become a Hallmark leading man in movies and the new series “Hope Valley: 1874.”
It turns out they are great friends and ready to work together for the first time on Hallmark. The two actors made a plea to Hallmark on the red carpet at the “When Call the Heart” Season 13 finale and the premiere of “Hope Valley: 1874.”
While Ullerup was being interviewed, Ayres soon joined her. They were asked about the many Hallmark stars reuniting for the event, leading them to reveal they have been trying to work together unsucesfully for years.
“We’ve also been trying to angle for years to do a movie together, which we have yet to do, Hallmark. We want to do,” Ayres said before Ullerup chimed in, stating, “Angle.”
Ayres went on to add, “Angling, strategizing, which we want to do. And the chemistry is burning right now as you can see.” Ullerup joked it was the heat.
Their playful banter was on point, as was their desire to make a movie together. If the dynamic on the red carpet was any indication of what Hallmark fans can expect to see in a Ullerup and Ayres movie, then the network should jump on that.
Fans React to Benjamin Ayres and Emilie Ullerup Movie Request
The comments section of the Instagram Post in which Ullerup was tagged filled up with fans on board for her starring in a movie with Ayres.
“Hopefully a new Hallmark movie with Emilie and Benjamin!😍😍😍😍😍,” expressed a fan. Another fan added, “What a lovely conversation. I love them both. Such incredibly talented people. I also believe their dynamic will be great. Please I would love to see a movie with Emilie and Benjamin 😀👏🏻.”
One fan chimed in to say, “Definitely need these two to reunite and film a Hallmark movie!” Some fans left red heart and happy face emojis to react to Ayres and Ullerup’s news.
If Ayres and Ullerup’s dream to film a movie together comes to light, fans could see them on-screen later this year. Hallmark has a pretty quick turnaround for film, but it also has a production schedule far in advance, so that it could be 2027. Again, if it happens.
Ullerup was last seen in the Hallmark movie “Missing the Boat,” starring Kristoffer Polaha, which premiered earlier this year.
Ayres’ last film with Hallmark was “A Christmas Angel Match.” He also appeared in Season 2 of the Hallmark original series “Mistletoe Murders” and is currently starring in “Hope Valley: 1874,” alongside Bethany Joy Lenz and Jill Hennessy, airing on Hallmark+.
