To celebrate the upcoming premiere of “Hope Valley: 1874,” which is the prequel series to the beloved, long-running series “When Calls the Heart,” some of Hallmark‘s biggest actors and actresses headed to The Sun Rose Hotel in West Hollywood, CA to strut down the red carpet in style. The celebration, which took place on Wednesday, Mar. 18, also included the stars from both shows gathering on stage to do a panel.

All About the ‘Hope Valley: 1874’ Premiere + Preview
“Hope Valley: 1874,” which is a prequel series to “When Calls the Heart,” will be premiering on Saturday, March 21. The series will take place decades before the era of Elizabeth Thatcher.
According to the official synopsis of the series on Hallmark Channel, “Bethany Joy Lenz portrays Rebecca Clarke, who travels from her home city of Chicago to the Western Canadian frontier with her 11-year-old-daughter. But when her wagon breaks down, she has no choice but to accept help from local rancher and confirmed bachelor, Tom Moore (Benjamin Ayres). Despite Rebecca’s best intentions to remain unattached, the future she dreams of for her and her daughter along with the people she meets in this fledgling town – including the guarded Tom and tenacious pioneer woman Hattie Quinn (Jill Hennessy) – ultimately compel her to put down roots and make a fresh start.”
The series also stars Roan Curtis as Hattie’s daughter, Olivia, and Lachlan Quarmby as Constable Alexander Vaughn, one of the first members of the newly created Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

All About the ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 13 Finale + Preview
Following the exciting “Hope Valley: 1874” premiere, the Season 13 finale of “When Calls the Heart” will be premiering on Sunday, March 22. The official synopsis of the 12th and final episode of this season reads, “at the Hope Valley Harvest Festival, the community reflects on all they’ve gained after loss, as they look towards the future.”
The series stars Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Chris McNally, Andrea Brooks, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith.
