Hallmark stars Benjamin Ayres and Bethany Joy Lenz have given fans a new sneak peek at the premiere episode of “Hope Valley 1874.” The debut of the “When Calls the Heart” prequel is almost here, and now fans have something to tide them over until the big event.
‘Hope Valley 1874′ Sneak Peek
Lenz and Ayres, dressed in their “Hope Valley 1874” attire, announced a first look at the upcoming premiere on social media. Instead of a new teaser or trailer, the stars revealed a sneak peek at a scene from the series.
“Everyone enjoy a special sneak peek of our new original series “Hope Valley 1874”. Steaming March 21 exclusively on Hallmark+. Take a look,” the two stars declared in the footage before the preview rolled.
In the footage, Rebecca (Lenz) is helping Tom (Ayres) wrap up his injured hand. Tom’s very curious about Rebecca, and he immediately clocks her as “city folk” because of the “culture quality” he sees in her.
Rebecca stays quiet. They are interrupted by Hattie (Jill Hennessy). Things get even more interesting when Hattie arrives, as it becomes clear that there’s tension between Hattie and Tom.
Hattie compliments how Rebecca fixed up Tom’s hand. Rebecca responds that Tom saved her daughter and her horse, so it was the least she could do. Then the video fades to “Hope Valley 1874,” and a voice-over reiterates the premiere date Ayres mentioned earlier.
The caption on the video teases, “there’s something about Rebecca Clarke that Tom can’t help but notice.”

It wasn’t a very long glimpse at the new Hallmark series, but it was enough to get fans psyched for the premiere. The comments were filled with fans ready to meet the latest crop of people in the “When Calls the Heart” family.
