Beloved actress Bethany Joy Lenz continues to celebrate her latest acting gig on Hallmark’s new show “Hope Valley 1874″. The series is a prequel to the network’s mega-hit show “When Calls the Heart,” and Lenz can’t believe her good fortune to be part of it.
Bethany Joy Lenz Shares Behind-the-Scenes Fun to Celebrate Her Good Fortune
Taking to Instagram, the “One Tree Hill” alum couldn’t help but ooze excitement for the upcoming premiere of “Hope Valley 1874.” Lenz shared a carousel of photos from filming the Hallmark series.
It was smiles all around for Lenz as she posed in candid photos with horses, a dog on the beach, and all muddy from a long day’s work. Lenz gave a look at life on set, which was beautiful and messy, thanks to the mud.
The actress also included a couple of videos that focused on the stunning scenery and Lenz riding a horse. Lenz certainly seemed to be in her element in these amazing behind-the-scenes photos.
In her caption, Lenz expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to play Rebecca Clarke in the new series.
“Dream Job” doesn’t quite cover it. Rebecca Clarke is coming your way in one week! It’s been restorative and quenching for my soul to be around these magnificent beasts daily—as well as an awesome group of people. More photos to come but I hope you’ll join us on @hallmarkplus for #hopevalley #1874,” she wrote.
Several familiar faces popped up in the comments to gush over Lenz’s message, including her “A Biltmore Christmas” co-star Kristoffer Polaha. The actor shared, “You look so happy! Can’t wait to help celebrate you and this project next week! 🙌❤️🙌.”
“Love it! 😍,” chimed in Danica McKellar, while “9-1-1: Nashville” Kimberly Williams-Paisley said “Awesome!!! ❤️❤️❤️.” Lenz’s friend and “Dawson’s Creek” alum Mary-Margaret Humes expressed, “I’m happy for you my beautiful friend 🥰.”
What to Know About Rebecca on ‘Hope Valley 1874’
Along with sharing some behind-the-scenes moments, Lenz gave a little insight into who she is playing in the “When Calls the Heart” prequel. Rebecca’s a single mother traveling alone across the frontier to make a better life for her daughter following the death of her husband.
Creating that life is the only thing on Rebecca’s mind. She won’t shy away from hard work to make it happen either. Rebecca’s also very headstrong and doesn’t take help easily, as fans will find out when the series premieres on Saturday, March 21, on Hallmark+.

I just love bethany in Hallmark movies. I do not watch these type of series.
Bethany is such a good actress and I would hope she will still be doing Hallmark movies. I loved a biltmore christmas and hoped we would see a sequel to see how things end up. Please Bethany keep making hallmark movies.
