Bethany Joy Lenz is officially making us even more hyped for “I Can Only Imagine 2.” The Hallmark star just posted a video after an early screening, and yep, she’s basically shouting from the rooftops about Milo Ventimiglia. Her verdict? His performance as Tim Timmons will absolutely wreck you; in the best way.
Bethany Joy Lenz Shares Her Thoughts After a Sneak Peek
In an Instagram post (seen above) from earlier today, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Bethany Joy Lenz had a lot to say about the film.
“Hey friends, I just got a chance to watch a sneak screening of I Can Only Imagine 2, directed by my friend Andy Irwin. And I gotta tell you, if you want to watch Milo Ventimiglia, just nail a performance into the ground. Just, yeah, like rip your heart out and then just hand it right back to you. You need to watch this movie. It ‘s so powerful. He gives a really incredible performance as Tim Timmons.”
But she didn’t stop there, going on to add more thoughts about the film.
“They’re all wonderful. I mean, it’s a great cast, great performances all around. You can really feel the passion in the storytelling and it’s a beautiful story of father and son. I hope you get a chance to see it. I hope you make the time to go see it. And I want to hear your thoughts actually. Send them my way. All right, enjoy.”
Move over, subtle praise… Lenz is here for it. Her excitement is infectious, and honestly, it’s making us count down the days until we can see Ventimiglia give his all on the big screen.
Picking Up Where the First Movie Left Off
If you loved the original biographical drama film, “I Can Only Imagine,” get ready for round two. Without giving too much away, the sequel follows Bart Millard (John Michael Finley) and his band MercyMe, diving deeper into family, music, and the emotional storytelling that made the first film such a hit. Lenz’s glowing review makes it sound like this one hits just as hard (maybe even harder) with Ventimiglia turning in a performance that promises to stick with you long after the credits roll.
It’s hitting theaters this Friday, February 20, 2026, so yeah… time to clear your schedule if you want to watch Milo absolutely crush it.
A Hallmark Legacy & What’s Next
While she’s hyping someone else’s performance, Lenz’s own career has been a nonstop stream of great content. She probably best known for her role Haley James Scott in the early 2000s teen drama, “One Tree Hill.”
But Lenz also has a loyal Hallmark fan base. She’s known for making holiday movie magic (and more) on the network since 2014. With films like “The Christmas Secret” (2014), “Royal Matchmaker” (2018), “Bottled with Love” (2019), “Just My Type” (2020), “An Unexpected Christmas” (2021), “A Biltmore Christmas” (2023), and “Savoring Paris” (2024), Lenz hasn’t slowed down yet.
Now she’s set to star in “Hope Valley: 1874,” a prequel to “When Calls the Heart,” keeping her close to the stories her fans love. It seems like no matter what she’s working on, Lenz knows a good performance when she sees it; and isn’t afraid to tell everyone.
Her excitement is kind of contagious, honestly. So whether you’re a Hallmark loyalist or just here for Milo Ventimiglia to break your heart (in a good way), this weekend looks like it’s going to deliver.
