Milo Ventimiglia Reunites With ‘Gilmore Girls’ Star He Had One Scene With On the Show

Milo Ventimiglia had a “Gilmore Girls” reunion in his latest film, “I Can Only Imagine 2.” Arielle Kebbel and Ventimiglia play a happily married couple in the film, but that was not the case when they had one scene together on “Gilmore Girls” over 20 years ago.

In a new interview, Kebbel — who has appeared in multiple Hallmark movies, including 2023’s “Love in the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance” — revealed that her scene with Ventimiglia was filmed on her very first day working in the industry.

Arielle Kebbel and Milo Ventimiglia Recall Messy ‘Gilmore Girls’ Scene They Were in Together

The two actors sat down with Us Weekly to promote their film. Before they talked about the movie, Ventimiglia and Kebbel took a trip down memory lane, looking back at “Gilmore Girls,” including the one real scene they had together.

“Do you remember our scene together? It was about a little band called Matchbox Twenty. Am I striking a chord?” Kebbel asked him.

It took a minute and a little coaxing from Kebbel before the actor started to remember the scene where Jess and Rory awkwardly run into Dean and Lindsay at a party during Season 3 of the show.

“I remember Jess saying something snipey about you. He was kind of a jerk,” the actor expressed.

They also talked about the first time they met, which was at the ice skating rink where “Gilmore Girls” was filming. Fans will recall that was the episode where Kebbel was introduced as Lindsay, as it turns out, it was also her first day of work ever in the business.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Stars Promote New Film ‘I Can Only Imagine 2’

Over two decades after their time on “Gilmore Girls,” Kebbel and Ventimiglia are involved in another love story. This time it’s not a love square but a powerful story about a loving couple.

I Can Only Imagine 2” is the sequel to the hit Christian film “I Can Only Imagine”. The latter was a faith-based film that came out in 2018. It is a true story based on MercyMe frontman Bart Millard as he worked to forgive his abusive father, which led to his song of the same name as the film.

Millard, played by J. Michael Finley, is once again at the forefront of the sequel, where Millard’s past threatens his family. Ventimiglia plays musician Tim Timmons, a member of the band who is battling cancer, and Kebbel plays his wife, Hillary Timmons.

Kebbel and Ventimiglia had a great time playing the real-life characters, forming lifelong friendships with the real Tim and Hillary.

“I Can Only Imagine 2” also stars Trace Adkins, Dennis Quaid, Sophie Skelton, and Sam Dell and is playing now in theaters.
