After winning hearts as the ultimate TV dad on NBC’s “This Is Us,” Milo Ventimiglia is turning heads with a bold new look. The actor, 48, was spotted in New York City on August 27 sporting a freshly shaved head while filming Netflix’s upcoming thriller “I Will Find You.”
The 48-year-old actor was spotted on set with a freshly shaved head as he ran through scenes with costar Britt Lower, debuting a transformation that had fans doing double takes.
Ventimiglia’s Drastic Transformation
According to photos shared by Just Jared, Ventimiglia debuted his new buzz cut in New York City.
Dressed in a navy polo, matching pants, and brown loafers, Ventimiglia showcased his buzzcut before switching into a tan jacket for a car scene, offering yet another glimpse of his striking new style.
What We Know About Netflix’s ‘I Will Find You’
Based on Harlan Coben’s novel, “I Will Find You” follows David (Sam Worthington), a wrongfully imprisoned father who embarks on a desperate mission to find his missing son. Ventimiglia plays Hayden, the ex-boyfriend of Lower’s character Rachel, in the eight-episode drama arriving in 2026.
Co-creator Robert Hull praised the project’s ensemble in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum. “The cast we’ve assembled is nothing short of phenomenal,” he said on August 21. “Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own. The fact we’ve somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan’s storytelling and the incredible support of everyone at Netflix.”
Ventimiglia’s Fatherhood & Life Beyond the Screen
Off-screen, Ventimiglia is also embracing fatherhood. Earlier this year, the “Gilmore Girls” alum welcomed his first child, daughter Ke’ala Coral, with wife Jarah Mariano.
To mark his 48th birthday, Mariano shared a heartwarming Instagram photo of Ventimiglia holding their newborn in his arms while pointing at a tree. She captioned the July 8 post, “Happy birthday Milo, husband, dada.”
From ‘This Is Us’ to New Projects
Ventimiglia became a household name as Jack Pearson on NBC’s hit drama “This Is Us,” appearing in 101 episodes and earning three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He also directed three episodes of the series before its finale in 2022.
During an October 2024 episode of the That Was Us podcast, Ventimiglia recalled a surprising moment from one of the final days on the This Is Us set — an unexpected F-bomb exchange with co-star Mandy Moore.

And in the middle of a take, things were kind of going in a direction, I think I, as Jack, was feeling it. And I was a little defensive.”
