It seems like the “Gilmore Girls” magic just keeps finding new ways to pull us back in. Matt Czuchry and Jared Padalecki (yep, Logan and Dean) recently sat down for an exclusive chat (People), and let’s just say it hit fans right in the nostalgia. The two opened up about how the show continues to connect with audiences decades later, proving that the love for Stars Hollow and its fast-talking, coffee-obsessed residents isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Honestly, it’s the kind of heartwarming reminder that makes you want to grab a cup of coffee and rewatch the pilot for the hundredth time.
The Unshakable Power of the ‘Gilmore Girls” Fandom
Czuchry and Padalecki didn’t hold back when it came to sharing their appreciation for the fans who’ve kept the “Gilmore Girls” universe thriving all these years.
Getty“It’s infused in people’s lives in such an incredible way, not just watching it. It’s more like, ‘How can I really carry on what this makes me feel like through my daughter or through my sister or through my mother?’ That’s just an incredible layer to it. You really see the magic that this show has had for generations of people,” said Czuchry.
Padalecki followed up with a story every “Gilmore Girls” fan can probably relate to, saying, “I feel like I can’t really go anywhere without somebody wonderfully coming up and saying, ‘I love the show. My mom and I watch,’ or ‘I force my boyfriend to watch it,’ or ‘My boyfriend forces me to watch it,’ or whatever. So it’s been funny, especially since COVID, people are like, ‘Oh, here’s a feel-good show. Let’s stream this. We love the music, and we love the setting and the characters and the writing.'”
Czuchry then summed it up perfectly: “It’s just amazing after all this time that we’re here and we’re still talking about it with all the generations that have watched the show. It’s just beautiful to be a part of that history.”
And honestly, he’s not wrong. It seems like “Gilmore Girls” has quietly become one of those rare comfort shows that people return to whenever they need a little bit of warmth, wit, and emotional chaos… basically the Stars Hollow trifecta.
Fans Are Still Keeping Stars Hollow Cozy
Fans were quick to share their thoughts on YouTube after the interview dropped, and let’s be real; the comments section was pure good vibes. One fan wrote, “Um, so whoever’s idea it was to do these one on ones with 2000s WB heartthrobs – Bravo 👏 You deserve a raise.” Another added, “They have only gotten more handsome. They are such great good guys,” while a third kept it short and sweet, with a string of five heart emojis.
Reddit users also recently got reflective about why the show still resonates. One comment said, “It’s the coziest show I know,” while another added, “No other show can encapsulate autumn vibes and back to school as well as this one.” But one fan nailed the emotional depth perfectly:
It seems like whether you’re watching with your mom, your partner, or just you and your oversized mug of coffee, “Gilmore Girls” continues to be a rare kind of magic; one that still makes fans feel seen, cozy, and just a little more connected.
