Kimberly Williams-Paisley certainly knows how to entertain her fans. The Hallmark star also knows how to pull off a fabulous look when it’s time to appear at an industry event. The actress made both points very clear when she decided to share a peek at her latest look while also being her adorably charming self.
Kimberly’s Post Will Surely Make You Smile
Williams-Paisley took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 12, to share a post with her followers that showed her revealing the stunning ensemble she wore to the ABC/Disney Upfront event.
Although fans would probably have been thrilled if she had simply displayed her outfit with a subtle twirl, the actress decided to take her performance up a notch to the delight of her social media followers.
Starting out in the video by wearing a robe with patches under her eyes and no makeup, Williams-Paisley mouths along to Reese Witherspoon’s voice from a scene in “Legally Blonde.” Performing a perfect “bend and snap,” Williams-Paisley leans forward and then quickly pops back up.
At that point, she’s transformed and is wearing a lovely pink dress, makeup and earrings, while her hair has been done up in a stylish updo.
GettyFans adored the video, with one person leaving a comment, writing, “Your reel game is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 @kimberlywilliamspaisley!!”
“Beautiful! 🩷 But wait, you forgot your unicorn float!! 😂😂,” another follower added, while referring to Williams-Paisley’s Met Gala look and silly accessory.
A third person wrote, “That transitionnnnn 👑🤍 beautifully done as always!!”
“Just too cute! And perfect color for you,” came from another follower. Granted, they did add, “And no bending and snapping for this old gal! 😆”
Even Jessica Capshaw, who appears on ABC’s “9-1-1: Nashville” with Williams-Paisley, left a comment, saying, “GORGEOUS!!!”
What is a ‘Legally Blonde’ Bend and Snap?

If you’re a little unsure about what exactly Williams-Paisley is doing in the video — or just love to relive the beloved movie moment whenever possible — then you’ll likely be interested in the “bend and snap.”
Popping up during “Legally Blonde,” as we mentioned, “[t]he scene takes place midway through” the movie, “as Elle (Reese Witherspoon) aims to give Paulette (Coolidge) a jolt of confidence after an awkward encounter with her deliveryman crush (Bruce Thomas),” according to Vulture.
“Relaying a lesson from her mother, Elle explains the fundamentals of the ‘bend and snap,’ a maneuver that boasts a ’98 percent success rate of getting a man’s attention.’ (And, not to mention, ‘when used appropriately, an 83 percent rate of return on a dinner invitation’),” Vulture explains.
“Soon, Elle begins teaching the move to the entire salon, wherein a dance session (bursting with all kinds of bends and snaps) breaks into a joyous celebration,” per Vulture. “For just a few minutes, Legally Blonde turns into a surreal, candy-coated panorama.”
Vulture notes that, “[r]eleased 20 years ago, the movie remains a relevant feminist portrait of ditzy diligence, but the “bend and snap” lives on as a parallel phenomenon. Though it leads to an injurious payoff in the story (Paulette breaks a nose but gets her man), it stands as a silly and participatory punch line on its own…”
