Kimberly Williams-Paisley Shares Brad Paisley’s Hilariously Weird Birthday Request

Kimberly Williams-Paisley knows how to keep a sense of humor — especially when it comes to celebrating her husband Brad Paisley’s birthday. The country star turned 53 on October 28, and according to his Hallmark star wife, his one birthday request was anything but ordinary.

Brad Paisley Asked for a Giant Dragon Statue

In a playful Instagram post, the Hallmark star shared two photos that perfectly captured her and Brad’s very different birthday wishes. The first showed her sitting in a cold plunge with the caption, “What she asked for her birthday.” The second featured an eight-foot dragon statue priced at $199.98, labeled, “What he asked for his.”

“Happy birthday to the guy who somehow made the @dodgers play 18 innings last night!” Kimberly wrote in the caption. “Love you @bradpaisley. The dragon is waiting for you back home.”

The actress’ post referred to Brad’s performance of the National Anthem before Game 3 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays at Dodger Stadium. The marathon game lasted 18 innings — something that’s become an oddly consistent coincidence whenever Brad performs.

According to MLB’s official X account, this marked the fourth time his anthem has preceded an unusually long World Series matchup. His previous performances came in Game 2 of 2017 (11 innings), Game 3 of 2018 (18 innings), and Game 1 of 2024 (10 innings).

Kimberly even joked in a comment, “Is it your fault it went 18 innings again? Nice of the @dodgers to win for your birthday!”

Kimberly Williams-Paisley Also Poked Fun at a Cake Mishap

The “Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday” actress has had her fair share of laughs lately. Earlier in October, she hosted a small gathering to celebrate the upcoming premiere of her new ABC series, “9-1-1: Nashville.” Kimberly shared a video of the event on Instagram, revealing a hilarious bakery blunder.

“I even got a cake and asked Publix to write ‘Happy Launch Week’ on it,” she wrote. “But since that firefighter design is usually chosen by little kids, they misunderstood and wrote, ‘Happy Lunch Week!’”

Co-star LeAnn Rimes responded, “Hahahaha amazing! Happy ‘lunch’ week to us!!!” Kimberly replied, “I do like a good lunch.”

Fans joined in on the fun, with one commenter writing, “Lunch or launch — it’s still cake!”

Kimberly and Brad met in 2001 after he asked her to star in his music video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” Brad later admitted he had a crush on her since seeing her play Annie Banks in “Father of the Bride.” The pair married in 2003 and share two sons, William “Huck” Huckleberry and Jasper Warren.
