Halfway through her daily radiation treatments, Hallmark Channel actress and director Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe just got some extra morale support as she continues to fight stage three breast cancer.
On May 18, 2026, Lowe posted a social media video from the waiting room and revealed that her longtime “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” (SSD) co-star and Hallmark bestie, Kristin Booth, was right there by her side. She also gave an update about how it’s going, revealing why her chest is now “lopsided.”
Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe Says Her Team ‘Deflated One of My Boobs’ Before Radiation
In her Instagram reel, Lowe started by sharing that she has 13 radiation sessions left and said she was “bored,” so she “called up a friend.” She then panned her camera over to reveal Booth smiling next to her.
“She just hopped on a plane to join me,” Lowe exclaimed, clearly thrilled to have her Canadian buddy in California. She then said how much they miss their “Postables” community — the SSD fandom that’s supported their series and movies since they first debuted on Hallmark in 2013.
Lowe, who appeared in the May 9 premiere of “All’s Fair in Love & Mahjong,” then said “Boothy” would wait outside during her 15-minute radiation session, noting that it “really isn’t that big of a procedure,” but she did note that “they deflated one of my boobs, so the left one is deflated and the right one is at max capacity.”
Following chemo and a double mastectomy, Lowe began the process of reconstruction, including getting the expanders placed in her chest periodically filled to slowly expand the skin, preparing it for implants.
But according to her update, her radiologist decided to deflate the side receiving radiation “so they can actually see it and mark it properly.” Booth cheerfully described her bestie as “lopsided,” and Lowe smirked, “Yeah, one giant rock hard boob and the other one is, like, mushy. So sexy!”
In Lowe’s Instagram caption, she further updated fans by sharing, “I’ll get it filled back up once this is over. Putting my arm over my head sucks but for the most part I’ve been ok. Probably because I have the best support group ever”
Fans Loved Seeing Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe & Kristin Booth Back Together

Sending you healing vibes and much love all the way from the southern hemisphere ❤️🩹🎀”
Another commented, “I love it when you two are together! The POstables miss you right back! 💌 You are doing amazing Crystal! Thank you for sharing this journey with us. ❤️”
Someone else chimed in, I love this! @kristintbooth was feeling the post-Crystal visit let-down after your last visit so I’m thrilled she’s able to be there with you. You both are loved and missed so very much!!!”
Kristin Booth Also Visited Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe at Thanksgiving
Booth visited around Thanksgiving to attend one of Lowe’s chemo infusions with her, and they got together with SSD writer and creator Martha Williamson. She shared a photo and Lowe posted a video of the trio, celebrating being back together.
Lowe first announced her cancer fight in October 2025, when she wrote an essay for People Magazine describing how she got diagnosed. Lowe shared that the first symptom of her breast cancer came that February, when she noticed a “large mass” in her right breast, and she intuitively felt something wasn’t right.
But when a mammogram and guided ultrasound showed nothing irregular, her doctor simply called it a “mystery.” But Lowe wrote that she got worried when she noticed, months later, that the lump “was changing in size and placement, and my confusion (and fear) kept growing. I didn’t feel any pain, but my nipple became inverted, so I went back to the doctor.”
By then, the mass measured 10 centimeters, Lowe wrote, and an immediate blind biopsy revealed she had Invasive Carcinoma in one of her ducts.
“I still remember getting off the phone, curling up into a ball, and just bawling,” she wrote, revealing that she would undergo months of chemo, surgery, and radiation. She wound up needing an additional surgery after pathology revealed that there were still signs of cancer following her double mastectomy.
