Rainey Qualley, the eldest daughter of Hallmark Channel star Andie MacDowell, married filmmaker and photographer Tony Wilson in a whimsical Halloween-themed ceremony in Lake Arrowhead, California. MacDowell currently stars in the network’s hit family drama “The Way Home”, where she plays matriarch Del Landry.
The couple exchanged vows at The Perch in Twin Peaks, a cozy venue in Lake Arrowhead surrounded by family and close friends.
As reported by Vogue, the intimate celebration welcomed a star-studded guest list that included MacDowell, Rainey’s sister Margaret Qualley, Margaret’s husband Jack Antonoff, and Shawn Mendes.
A Cozy, Sleepover-Inspired Wedding Weekend
Rainey shared that the venue’s 13 cabins gave the celebration a cozy, personal touch. “We wanted it to feel like a big sleepover and just made it easy and cozy,” she told Vogue.
The couple skipped the traditional rehearsal dinner and instead threw a pajama party complete with vegan pizza and games the night before the wedding. “The whole weekend was just such a blast,” Rainey said.
When it came to her bridal look, the actress leaned into sustainability, choosing vintage and secondhand pieces that reflected her style. “I wanted something functional and comfortable,” she explained. “You only get to wear it once, so I wanted to wear my dress the entire night.”
Guests Embrace the ‘Hallo-Wedding’ Spirit
Rainey and Wilson fully embraced their “Hallo-wedding” theme, teaming up with event planner Carly Rae Williams to create a celebration that was both spooky and romantic. “We made Pinterest boards together and just kept coming up with ideas to make the event as fun, spooky, gorgeous, silly, and romantic as possible,” Rainey told Vogue.
Guests went all in on the theme. The bridesmaids dressed as witches, the groomsmen as warlocks, and Andie MacDowell appeared as a regal “crow queen.”
Rainey’s father, Paul Qualley, arrived as a skeleton, while her officiant and best friend, Jac Cron, dressed as a vampire. “Everyone went all out,” Rainey said. “The costumes were immaculate.”
After the ceremony, the couple picked up their daughter, Bluebell, before returning to their cabin to sign their marriage papers. Rainey said the entire weekend felt “both elegant and like us.”
“I felt so full of love for my husband and everyone in attendance,” she shared. “Going from seeing Tony tear up during his vows and my dad crying in the front row to laughing at my friends’ immaculate costumes in the crowd was everything I could have asked for.”
Their wedding celebration proves that love stories can be both romantic and delightfully spooky.
