Heirloom Hotel Owners Give Update After Devastating Fire Shown on ‘Home Town: Inn This Together’

On May 31, the finale of “Home Town: Inn This Together” showed the devastating fire that crushed The Heirloom Hotel owners’ dreams.

“Home Town” stars Ben and Erin Napier and their “framily,” Jim and Mallorie Rasberry and Josh and Emily Nowell, worked tirelessly for two years to renovate a historic department store in Laurel, Mississippi. Their hard work was erased when a fire broke out in August 2025.

After the episode aired, The Heirloom Hotel Instagram account gave an update.

“So many have asked how you can support us! Help us rebuild, one piece of The Heirloom Hotel at a time by purchasing a piece of it that’s been repurposed just for you,” the caption noted.

It continued, “If you watched the episode tonight then you saw the fire that changed everything at The Heirloom Hotel. What was lost was more than a building and something that so many people had poured into only for us to get SO close, yet never even get to open our doors. Most everything was not salvageable but we couldn’t see these floors, that have seen so many generations, just be thrown in the dumpster too.”

They repurposed the floors and created a way for fans to own a piece of the project.

“A way we could bring these floors one more life, was for our team to make them into these photo rails for your home or any space that you want to display your cherished images or even heirloom recipes,” they explained. “It makes us feel encouraged as we look at these, that no matter how damagedโ€”beautiful things can still come from the ashes.”

“We build because of the people we’re building for and we hope you will too,” the caption added. “Heirloom Photo rail available at www.laurelmercantile.com.”

In the video, they noted: “Life is full of the unexpected. Unexpected joy. Unexpected sorrow. It’s easy to give up, to walk away, to quit. But even on the darkest days, there is hope and joy. All is not lost. So let’s save something together.”
