Jenny Marrs has been sharing some of the sweetest lamb content lately and fans are here for it. The HGTV star recently reflected on the lessons learned while caring for her adorable flock of two babies.
Jenny Marrs Posts Sweetest Lamb Video
On April 7, Marrs took to Instagram to share a video of Hazel and Walter greeting her with “baa’s” when she approached the hungry babies with bottles.
“As I watch Walter and Hazel run toward me each day, trusting me for their sustenance and safety, I see how important it is for these gentle, helpless creatures to have a good, caring, loving shepherd(ess),” she wrote in the caption.
Marrs continued, “They can’t survive on their own. They need protection, ample food and water, and safe shelter. They need me to love them enough to rise out of bed early and come home throughout the day to ensure they’re fed on time. They need me to love them enough to stay alert and aware of their needs as they grow.”
The HGTV star noted, “It all points me back to Jesus.”
In the process of raising these sweet babies, Marrs has learned some valuable lessons.
She explained, “As W. Phillip Keller says in ‘A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23,’ ‘All the care, all the work, all the alert watchfulness, all the skill, all the concern, all the self-sacrifice born of His love — the love of One who loves His sheep, loves His work, loves His role as a Shepherd.'”
“Caring for my little flock has taught me that I can confidently walk with Him simply because of trust. Trust formed day after day, walking behind and beside Him,” she noted. “Trust rooted in the knowledge of His ridiculously lavish love for me. Trust rooted in His past faithfulness.”
Marrs added, “I’m grateful for this little farm and my little flock for the way they continue to teach me more about God’s heart for His kids.”
