Jenny Marrs Shares Family’s Sudden Heartbreaking Loss: ‘We Are Devastated’

Jenny Marrs shared heartbreaking news about one of her pregnant farm animals, as they lost the beloved sheep and her babies. The HGTV star explained what happened and how they are handling the devastating passings.

Jenny Marrs Shares Sad Farm News: ‘Going to Bed Heartbroken’

On February 7, Marrs took to her Instagram Stories to share some developments about their sheep BaaBaa, which unfortunately took a sad turn.

“We came home from basketball to find BaaBaa in labor!” she noted.

Shortly after, Marrs gave an update: “Ok well. She was just stuck upside down. Bahahah we flipped her over and we aren’t even sure if she’s in labor or just overweight at this point.”

“Haha we are always learning!!!” she added.

The HGTV star shared that they were “getting her some electrolytes.”

“Thank goodness we found her when we did and SO thankful for watchful neighbors who have vet friends,” Marrs noted.

Later in the day, however, Marrs shared news that the animal had an emergency C-section and sadly the sheep and her babies passed away.

“Going to bed heartbroken,” Marrs wrote. “We didn’t know BaaBaa was actually pregnant with quadruplets. Our vet had to make an emergency visit when we realized she was in distress.”

“Emergency c-section in Dave’s barn … four beautiful, perfect babies and we lost them all,” Marrs noted. “Our best girl, BaaBaa, and all four babies. All gone.”

“We are devastated,” she added.

Marrs shared the effort that went into trying to save the animals and how the sad situation made them miss their neighbor Mr. Bob.

“We tried so hard to save them,” she wrote. “We fought. They fought. I’ll never forget this night.”

The “Fixer to Fabulous” star continued, “I’m so thankful for our selfless neighbor who was there for every bit of it and fought for these precious babies alongside us.”

“As we all cried and prayed together afterwards, we also cried a little more because of how much we missed Mr. Bob tonight,” she added. “He would have been right here beside us.”

Marrs also shared, “Ever given mouth to mouth to a newborn lamb? Well I have now. And I’d do it again if there was even the slightest chance it would work.”

The HGTV star added, “Gosh farm life is not for the faint of heart. I’m weary tonight. Very very weary.”

Fans Share Love & Prayers for Marrs Family

On February 8, Dave Marrs posted a video explaining what happened on the farm.

“Last night, we made the incredibly tough decision to have our veterinarian perform an emergency c-section to try and save Baba, our sheep’s, babies,” he wrote in the caption. “This is a no win situation, because if the babies make it, the mom doesn’t. But, if you don’t make that decision, they all could die.”

He continued, “After the surgery and over an hour of our vet, an incredible neighbor, my wife, and Charlotte performing mouth to mouth on these babies, trying to force the fluid from their lungs, we were unsuccessful and lost the mama and all four babies.”

“Raising animals is hard, so hard, because sometimes even after trying to make the best decision available, you still lose,” Marrs explained. “But, it is also so fulfilling. We get to experience life with new babies, animals that bring such joy.”

Fans flooded the comments section with messages of love and support for the family.

“So sorry to hear this news, I love to see how much you love all of your animals,” one fan wrote.

“I’m so sorry for BaaBaa and her babies. You are the best animal family you can be and I’m so sad for you,” another fan commented.

“So sorry for the loss of precious fur animals. 😢 Sending prayers and hugs to you all,” one fan noted.
