Jenny Marrs Reflects on Emotional Week & Finding an Adorable Kitten
On August 13, Marrs took to Instagram to share more details about their eventful week, which included their kids going back to school. While she was working through the emotional time, her husband found a kitten in a tree in the woods.
“It’s been a big week with lots of big emotions (hi, the twins drove themselves to school but that can’t be because they were just my rambunctious little guys a BLINK ago) so when Dave found a kitten stuck in a tree on our property yesterday, making her feel safe was the perfect distraction from my how-can-they-all-be-so-grown-up woes,” she wrote in the caption.
Marrs continued, “I’ll take her to the vet this morning to see if she has a chip but, if not, she’ll stay. Because, even though he acts like he doesn’t love the chaos, Dave suggested the name Jill since our Jill would’ve loved finding a kitten on the farm. She would’ve taken her in like she did so many times before.”
“Everyone is curious about Jill this morning and I’m procrastinating alllllll the things I need to do today by taking videos of this adorableness,” the HGTV star wrote.
She added, “That’s all. That’s the post. If you needed some kitten cuteness too, you’re welcome. 🤍🐾”
In her Instagram Stories, the HGTV star shared that, after taking the kids for “first day ice cream,” they “came home to Dave shouting for our help rescuing a kitten. This little guy was stuck in a tree in the woods!”
She later explained, “If she’s not chipped and we can’t find her owner, she’ll be named ‘Jill.’ It was Dave’s pick since our Jill would’ve LOVED finding a kitten on the farm. We would have brought her next door to Jill first thing. So, Jill it is.”
On August 13, Marrs shared an update on the kitten, writing on her Stories, “Update: no chip and also, it’s a boy! Name pending … “
