HGTV Star Reflects on ‘Lifetime of Memories’ After 10 Seasons of Hit Show

HGTV star Jeremiah Brent shared a touching reflection on the end of an era.

After news that Netflix’s “Queer Eye” was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program following its tenth and final season, Brent reflected on his time on the series.

Brent Remembers ‘Queer Eye’

The “The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project” alum — who joined the hit reality series in 2024 — shared a touching tribute via Instagram on Thursday, August 20.

“Ten seasons. An Emmy nomination. A lifetime of memories,” he captioned a photo dump shared in black and white. “And still, the greatest honor has been the simplest reminder: kindness matters.”

Brent added, “‘Queer Eye’ was never really about us. It was for you. And it was never just about transformation…it was about humanity. About what’s possible when we meet one another with love, dignity, compassion, and without judgment.”

The interior designer was brought on to replace Bobby Berk after he walked away following season 8. He would go on to star alongside Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, and Jonathan Van Ness for two seasons.

“This show changed my life. It strengthened my belief in the goodness of people and taught me that showing up for one another, with an open heart, can change everything,” Brent continued. “These ten seasons are yours. I’m just endlessly grateful I got to be a small part of them and to carry their legacy with me. Lead with love. Choose kindness. Believe in people. XxJB.”

Will ‘Nate and Jeremiah’ Return?

With his time on “Queer Eye” in the rear view, fans have been itching for more Jeremiah Brent on their screens. However, it seems like Brent’s renovation series with husband Nate Berkus will not be returning to HGTV.

“I don’t know, we did it for so long,” Brent told Us Weekly in February 2025. “I need a break, I see him every day!”

He continued, “I mean, I would do anything with him. But to be honest with you, doing this show, ‘Queer Eye,’ has changed my life.”

In addition to “Nate and Jeremiah Home Project,” the couple — who have been married since 2014 — also starred together in “Nate & Jeremiah By Design” from 2017 to 2019, and “Nate & Jeremiah: Save My House” beginning in 2020.

Despite the end of his TV series, Brent hasn’t slowed down on his renovation projects.

He and Berkus recently gave Architectural Digest an exclusive tour of their Portugal farm after completing a five-year renovation.

“If I’m being totally honest, this one is hard to share. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt so protective about a place,” Brent told the outlet in May. “I am Portuguese, my parents are Portuguese. My mom always talks about stories of coming back here and living here someday.”

The father of two — who shares son Oskar and daughter Poppy with his husband — made his mom’s wishes come true by renovating an old bakery on the property for her and her husband to live in on their property.

Brent, Berkus and their two children spend up to four months a year on their 18-acre farm, but still permanently live in New York City during the school year.
