Nicole Curtis revealed that the final two episodes of the new season of “Rehab Addict” will finally air and got pushback from one online critic. The HGTV star addressed the criticism with a response defending her “life work.”
Nicole Curtis Responds to Critic of ‘Rehab Addict’ Schedule
In summer 2025, HGTV aired the first two episodes of a new season of “Rehab Addict,” but there was a delay with the final two episodes. Curtis shared at the time that she was prioritizing family and the new episodes would air in the fall.
The release was pushed out further when she decided to recut the episodes and, on February 7, Curtis took to Instagram to announce: “New shows drop Wednesday.”
“Straight from Detroit — the new episodes drop Wednesday … was told now or never — so you get them now,” she explained in the caption. “And can you do me a huge show of support by sharing this. Sending it to friends, tag a friend, a stranger.”
On February 8, Curtis shared a screenshot on her Instagram Stories from a fan who criticized the return of “Rehab Addict.”
“At this point, it really doesn’t matter anymore,” they wrote. “So beyond the hype. Much ado about nothing.”
Curtis responded, “Thank you for your rudeness. It alerted me to the fact that somehow my posts on my private page were public.”
The HGTV star defended all of the hard work that she’s put into “Rehab Addict” over the years.
“The nothing you speak of is my life work and I think had I seen this years ago I’d tell you to go f yourself, but I’m about to have a leisurely day riding my bike knowing I really don’t have to care what people say or think about me,” she wrote.
Curtis added, “Because years of ‘much ado about nothing’ made it possible for me to never work at anything I don’t want to. Happy [expletive] Sunday.”
Curtis Speaks Out About HGTV Schedule Shakeup: ‘Why Noon?’
In her February 10 email newsletter, Curtis addressed the network’s move to air the shows during the day, rather than primetime.
“The new shows are out this Wednesday,” she wrote. “And before you ask … HGTV. Now, here’s the tricky part, you need to set your DVR for anything ‘Rehab Addict’ as for whatever curse I have — it’s not showing up on all schedules. Or you can watch [it] Live at noon.”
“Why Noon?” she asked. “Who knows. And I’ll leave it at that.”
Curtis continued, “Now, as this is a last minute update. (Trust me, I thought I read it wrong as I was bouncing back from my most recent adventure in El Salvador) If you are a Media outlet reading this, do not misconstrue this next section as ‘Nicole begged her fans to save her show in her latest email.'”
“It’s simply this as I’ve said since 2009 on my first Facebook post, squeaky wheel gets the oil and my team fields thousands of questions and responses from all of you and honestly, I build the houses, I produce the shows and I sell that to HGTV and it’s their choice what they do with it,” she noted.
Curtis explained that, while fans can ask her team about scheduling, “it’s better to go right to the source if you want to be heard or get your questions answered.”
“If you are so inclined, go to the HGTV socials and comment any questions that you have,” she shared. “They build their entire programming around viewer feedback. You like my photo on there and repost, there’s some person analyzing that move. Seriously.”
