Love is in the air for “General Hospital” star and Great American Family actor Cameron Mathison. Two years after he and his wife of 22 years, Vanessa, announced their separation, Mathison and his new love, model Taelyr Robinson, have gone public with their relationship.
On August 25, 2026, Robinson marked Mathison’s 57th birthday by going Instagram official with the Hallmark Channel alum. A former Miss Maryland who competed in the 2020 Miss USA pageant, Robinson posted a series of photos and videos with Mathison and wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday, my love! Another year of being great at literally everything 😋😂💕”

Robinson’s post began with a photo of her and Mathison backstage at “Good Morning America,” where he periodically fills-in for hosts on GMA3, a comfortable gig for him after years of co-hosting Hallmark’s “Home & Family” morning show.
Robinson also uploaded a pic of them working out at one of California’s DMN8 gyms, a video clip of the former “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” star swooping her up and kissing her at a spot overlooking the ocean, and another video of Mathison snacking on rice cakes while sitting next to a stream at the base of a canyon — which looked to be the same trip he shared on Instagram in July.
Mathison clearly approved of Robinson revealing their relationship, cutely commenting, “This post 🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰☺️☺️☺️” And it seems his 20-year-old daughter Leila approved too, since she left two smiling emoji on the post.
Robinson dropped three celebratory emoji — “🥳🥳🥳” — and Mathison added three smiling faces when someone commented, “Hard launch 👀👀”
And when a friend called them “Instagram official cuties,” the couple responded with joyful emoji again.
Food Network chef David Rose wrote, “Cam!!! Happy birthday my friend!! 🎂 This is a good looking couple right here! 🔥🔥” and Mathison replied, “thank you britherrrr”
In her Instagram Stories, Robinson also posted a selfie video from the passenger seat of Mathison’s car on his birthday, revealing that she was on the way with him to the “General Hospital” set, where he plays “infamous” villain Drew Cain.
Cameron Mathison & Taelyr Robinson Have Both Leaned On Meditation & Positive Mindsets During Difficult Times
Robinson is more than two decades younger than Mathison, but the pair seem to have plenty in common, including a commitment to navigating hard times with positivity. In June, Mathison was one of the first guests on a new podcast she co-hosts with Fionna Wright, The Becoming Club, revealing how he’s navigated challenges like beating cancer and losing his mom.
More recently, he’s dealt with the end of his marriage and, in January 2025, witnessing wildfires rip through Los Angeles and demolish their family home. The “All My Children” alum vulnerably shared how devastating and traumatic their loss was, as he moved into a condo with only a handful of belongings. But he chose to face the traumatic event with a positive attitude, leaning into his passion for Buddhism and meditation.
Meanwhile, Robinson wrote in an essay for The Skinny Confidential that meditation “has been crucial to my evolution and often to my sanity in an industry that can be very cutthroat.” She even spent a month in Thailand “studying the practice and philosophy of yoga while doing my 200 hour yoga teacher training.”
Meditation hasn’t only helped Robinson with the modeling industry, but with her own personal challenges. According to the Pageant Update website, Robinson started appearing in Barbie and Verizon ads at age 10, but lost her dad and grandmother the following year.
As her mom struggled with alcoholism, Robinson “became the sole caretaker of herself and her two sisters,” per the outlet, and their family eventually wound up homeless. But Robinson has clearly paved a path to success and stability, and right into the arms of a rom-com king and soap opera villain.
