Kim Kardashian lit up Venice, Italy, with her signature glamour as she was honored for her impactful work in prison reform. The 44-year-old reality star and entrepreneur looked radiant as she attended the DVF Awards, an event held at the historic Teatro Goldoniat Venezia Lido during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.
Recognized for Her Advocacy Work
The DVF Awards, created by designer Diane von Furstenberg, spotlight women who are driving meaningful change.
Kardashian was celebrated for her dedication to criminal justice reform, a cause she has championed for years as she continues her studies to become a lawyer.
Chris Young’s Emotional Introduction
The honor became even more powerful when Chris Young, a man Kardashian helped free from a life sentence, presented her with the award.
Young had been sentenced under strict mandatory minimum laws for a nonviolent offense, but after years of advocacy, he was released in 2021.
“The real honor was having Chris Young introduce me, standing there free! After serving 2 life sentences and us working hard to get him home, now being in Venice, Italy with us was so special,” Kardashian reflected on Instagram.
A Night of Glamour & Purpose

Not for what I have done, but for the work that we all still have to do,” she wrote.
The reality star and entrepreneur has been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform for years. Young was the second case Kardashian took to the White House, following her successful push for Alice Johnson’s pardon in 2020.
Arrested at just 22, Young was sentenced to life without parole for a low-level drug offense and spent 11 years behind bars before his sentence was commuted by Donald Trump in 2021.

Her recognition in Venice underscored not only her influence on the global stage but also her commitment to meaningful change.
By blending Hollywood elegance with heartfelt advocacy, Kardashian reminded the world that justice and reform remain at the center of her mission.
