Lifetime Star to Co-Host ‘The View’

Savannah Chrisley is pressing ahead with plans to co-host “The View” despite ongoing criticism tied to President Donald Trump’s decision to pardon her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley. The reality star and podcaster confirmed the news herself, framing the opportunity as one she is embracing even as the controversy continues to follow her family.

Chrisley, 28, announced on her “Unlocked” podcast that she will serve as a guest co-host on the ABC daytime talk show for the week of Feb. 15. “I am co-hosting ‘The View’ the week of February 15th, so I’ll be on ‘The View’ all week,” she said. “I’m so excited for that because I like doing things that challenge me, [and] I like doing things that educate me.”

She also acknowledged that the experience will place her squarely outside her comfort zone. Chrisley claimed the show’s panel has previously criticized both her and her family, adding, “These personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me.” She further alleged that some past commentary crossed a line, referencing remarks questioning how her parents received their pardons.

The Backlash Surrounding Her “The View” Appearance

Chrisley’s upcoming appearance comes months after Trump announced in May that he would pardon Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in June 2022. Julie had been serving a seven-year sentence in Kentucky, while Todd was serving a 12-year sentence in Florida before their release.

The decision drew swift backlash, including pointed criticism from “The View” hosts. During a May episode, Joy Behar said, “According to this administration, if you are a reality star with a lot of money, and a tax cheat, and you commit fraud, then that’s good. We’re going to give you a pardon.” She added, “But poor people on Medicaid or food stamps, according to this administration, those are the real moochers.” Ana Navarro also weighed in at the time, calling the pardons “not ethical.”

Despite those remarks, Chrisley said she is choosing to show up rather than shy away, viewing the co-hosting role as an opportunity for dialogue. The panel she will join includes Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines and Navarro.

The co-hosting stint also arrives amid a broader comeback year for the Chrisley family. According to Us Weekly, Savannah spent much of early 2025 advocating for her parents’ release while navigating tension within her family, including strained dynamics with her brother Chase.

Following the pardons, Todd and Julie returned to public life quickly, relaunching their podcast as “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” and later appearing in Lifetime’s docuseries “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.” The show documented both their incarceration and the family’s adjustment after their release, including conflicts between Savannah and Chase that were ultimately resolved, per Us Weekly.

Todd has continued to maintain his innocence, saying at a press conference, “Even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do,” according to Us Weekly.

As Savannah prepares to take a seat at “The View” table, the moment reflects both her family’s reentry into the public eye and her willingness to engage directly with critics. “I like doing things that challenge me,” she said, signaling she has no plans to step back now.
