One day after the shocking news of Dolly Parton’s death at age 80, the entertainment industry was rocked by another loss. On August 26, 2026, news broke that legendary actor Tim Curry had also died at age 80 the previous night following a decade of health crises.
The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” star’s passing has hit multiple Hallmark Channel stars hard, with tributes to rolling in from Lacey Chabert, Jane Seymour, and more about their former, beloved co-star.

For all five seasons of the show, Chabert played Eliza, who traveled the world and with her unique family and talked to animals while her mom and dad, played by Curry, made wildlife films.
Sharing a link to an article about Curry’s death in her Stories, Chabert wrote, “I’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories of working with Tim on The Wild Thornberries. It was such a joy to watch him create a character. He was always so incredibly kind to me and encouraging. He will be so very missed. 💔”
Jane Seymour Says Tim Curry Always Kept Her on Her Toes
GettySeymour remembered what a joy it was to work with Curry, a three-time Tony nominee, in “Amadeus” on Broadway in the early 80s, sharing throwback photos on Instagram of them at that time. The “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” alum, who last appeared on Hallmark in the 2025 miniseries “Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas,” began her post by writing, “I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Tim Curry. 🙏”
“Tim was one of those extraordinary people who seemed to bring more life into every room,” Seymour continued. “He was wildly talented, wickedly funny, completely original, and such wonderful company. I was so fortunate to share the Broadway stage with him in Amadeus, where he played Mozart and I played Constanze. Every night he’d bring something new and would keep me on my toes! Watching him work was a joy. He had that rare ability to be completely fearless, surprising, and utterly himself.”
Seymour concluded her post with, “There will never be another Tim. I will remember the laughter, the brilliance, and the wonderful spirit he brought to everything he did. Rest well, dear Tim. You will be so very missed. 🤍”
Melissa Gilbert Among Other Hallmark Fan-Favorites Stunned by Tim Curry’s Passing
“Little House on the Prairie” alum Melissa Gilbert, who spent the last two years playing forensic specialist Georgie McGill on Hallmark’s “When Calls The Heart,” also paid tribute to Curry on Instagram, sharing a photo of him in the iconic “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
“Ok 2026, You can stop now,” Gilbert wrote, referencing other heartbreaking celebrity deaths including Parton and Shelley Fabares. “I don’t know how to explain how much I enjoyed watching this man on film, in interviews, and on stage. These last several days have just been heartache on heartache on heartache. Please stop! Mr Curry, may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
WCTH star Andrea Brooks also shared a brief tribute on social media, posting an article in her Instagram Stories about Curry’s passing. Over it, she wrote, “RIP Tim 😢”
