Ariana Grande’s song change during her London show has made fans theorize she is ready to take her romance with Ricky Alvarez to the next level.
The pop and actress was appearing in the UK for the final stop of her “Eternal Sunshine” album tour when she made a change to her 2019 hit “Thank U, Next.”

Ariana Grande’s lyric change has led fans to believe the 33-year-old is ready to walk down the aisle again.
In fan-shot footage circulating online, Grande can be seen changing the lyrics to “Thank U, Next” to signal a brighter future with Ricky Alvarez.
“Wrote some songs about Ricky, I’m trynna make him my last,” she sang to the packed-out crowd in the English capital. Ricky was seen in the crowd at her shows, with videos shared online showing Alvarez smiling, laughing and recording parts of the performance while Grande sang “Imperfect for You” at her July 18 show,
The original lyrics go, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh.” The song also references her romances with Big Sean, Mac Miller, and Pete Davidson,
The former “The Voice” coach has been changing the lyrics to the song as her relationship with the backup dancer has evolved.
While singing the hit during her June 26 show in Texas, Grande changed the lyrics to, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, I know he’s still got my back.”
At the July show in New York, the lyrics transformed into: “Wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back.”
When Ariana originally released the song, Ricky responded on Instagram that he had “nothing but gratitude.” “Thank you, next…(those songs are fire tho… you’re welcome),” he added.
The singer reposted his sentiment, adding, “Oh for sure…ty next.”

On July 14, People broke the news of their rekindled romance, saying the pair are “taking things very slowly,” adding, “They’re not jumping into anything serious right away, but Ari is happy to have him back in her life.”
On her Instagram Stories posted August 15, she posted a photo of a new script lettering tattoo on her collarbone that read “I do love you.” Eagle-eyed fans realized that Álvarez has the same words tattooed on his collarbone in a different font.
