Legendary pop star Cyndi Lauper rocked some gorgeous blue hair while attending the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
The event took place in Los Angeles, California and fans couldn’t get enough of Lauper’s new hair.
Lauper styled the look with a bejeweled black jacket, a black top, and the same-colored pants.
She later took to the stage to say how much it means to her to accept the honor.
“I know I stand on the shoulders of the women in the industry who came before me,” Lauper said. “My shoulders are board enough to have the women that come after me stand on mine. And the little kid in me still believes that rock and roll can save the world. Rock and roll is a big, wonderful quilt of a lot of different styles of music, thank goodness.”
Lauper Expressed Gratitude for the Honor
The news was announced in April that Lauper will be joined by fellow inductees, including Soundgarden, OutKast, The White Stripes and more.
In a statement following the announcement, Lauper expressed humility and gratitude for the honor.
“I’m humbled to be in the company of so many of my heroes – Aretha, Tina, Chaka, Joni, Wanda, to name just a few. Women have made so many important contributions to music and to rock n roll and a win for one of us is a win for all of us,” she wrote.
She thanked everyone who voted for her. Lauper added, “And thank you to my fans for supporting me throughout my career. I could not do any of this without you.”
Decades of Bold Creativity & Impact
Lauper’s career has spanned more than four decades and is defined by fearless style, vocal versatility and an enduring message of individuality.
Her 1983 debut album “She’s So Unusual” earned four Top-5 hits, including “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “Time After Time,” and positioned her as an icon of the era.
The Rock Hall’s official profile highlights how she continues to evolve — moving from new-wave pop to blues, country and Broadway (her Tony-winning score for “Kinky Boots”) — while standing firm as an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and self-expression.
Lauper’s induction marks a long-awaited recognition: she had been nominated before but finally was accepted this year.
Fans expressed how happy they were for the 72-year-old.
“YAY!!! So well deserved! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 We love you, Cyndi!!!” one user wrote.
Another added, “She’s so humble a Wonderful artist and an amazing human being.”
