The music world has lost one of its giants, as English singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Mason has sadly passed away. Mason, 79, died peacefully at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada, on Sunday, April 19.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was best known as a founding member of the rock band Traffic (along with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood), but also operated as a solo artist, and had tenures as a member of both Derek and the Dominos (early 1970s) and the iconic Fleetwood Mac (mid-1990s).
Mason’s passing was announced on his official Instagram account to his 10,800 followers.
