Journey to Parenthood
The couple had previously opened up to People magazine about their pregnancy journey. Alex explained that they conceived through IVF after a frozen embryo transfer in March, learning they were expecting 10 days later. Their baby was due in November.
The road to parenthood had not been easy. Both Drake and Alex faced serious health struggles in recent years, including Drake’s onstage stroke in 2019 and Alex’s diagnoses of type 1 diabetes and an autoimmune disorder. Despite the challenges, they shared their story openly, hoping to inspire others navigating similar battles.

And then this was just something else that tested our faith and tested our strength,” he said in 2022.
At the time, the musician stressed the importance of leaning on others. “I want to encourage married couples, individuals in general, to lean on your community and others that are going through it,” he shared.
Now, as the couple grieves their daughter’s passing, fans and fellow country artists are flooding their pages with prayers, love, and unwavering support.
