Lana Del Rey is marking one year of marriage with her husband, Jeremy Dufrene. Part of the pair’s celebrations involves the singer taking to Instagram on Friday, September 26, to share a collection of photos from their wedding.
In the various pics, you can see the couple together — while Del Rey wears her wedding dress — as well as with guests who attended the special event.
In the comments, plenty of people congratulated the couple, including one follower who wrote, “I am so happy to see how happy you are! I’m a fan since 2013 and I remember how much love was a question in your life for many times, and I’m seeing you loving and receiving back the love you always wanted is pure joy in my heart.”
“I got married this year in April and I’m happier than ever! Only being with the right person to know how good it [is] and somehow I feel that I share this feeling with you and it is so cool,” they continued. “I wish you guys all the happiness in this world 💘”
Del Rey Was Worried Dufrene Wouldn’t Be Able to Handle What She Brought With Her
When Del Rey and Dufrene first got together, sparks apparently flew quickly. However, the star had one particular worry.
“When we met, I realized pretty immediately that I loved him, but that it might get difficult because of what I was bringing to the table,” the singer told W Magazine in August.
However, the man who would become her husband wasn’t daunted. She recalled, “Jeremy said, ‘I work with alligators — I have tough skin.’ And he is a man of his word. All the things that made me upset — and there were so many! — he would just listen and say, ‘You be you — and I’ll just love you more.'”
She lated added, “If I was him, I would have been nervous — my emotions were more overwhelming than usual, and my usual emotions can be quite overwhelming!” After a laugh, she continued, “But Jeremy was fine. He said, ‘If you want, worry about yourself, but don’t worry about me!'”
Del Rey Wanted a ‘Simple’ Marriage
GettyDel Rey doesn’t want to be with someone who makes love complicated. When she sat down for an interview with Vogue Italia (via Grazia) in October 2024, she explained, “When I get married, it’ll be to someone who, like me, believes that love is enough. I’ll be enough for him, and he’ll be enough for me. Someone to have children with if that happens, or just friends.”
“I want it to be simple,” she continued. “I need to be with someone who wants to plan to stay home with me.”
“Love is to be saved, and that’s magic…I want my whole life, and everything I sing, to be the positive result of something,” Del Rey said. “I believe in magic because, to me, it means being optimistic, having hope, and being able to share it.”
