Lana Del Rey is opening up about her relationship with husband Jeremy Dufrene, including the unusual place where they like to hang out. “Jeremy and I have what we call ‘parking-lot time,'” the singer shared with W. “We spend so much time in parking lots, just reading or talking in the car.”
Del Rey acknowledges that the hangout spot is unique, but it is something that makes her feel as though she and Dufrene are deeply connected.
“Sometimes, in life, you think you’re the only one in the world who loves a particular thing, like sitting in an empty Macy’s or Home Depot parking lot,” the “Born to Die” singer explained. “You might be really weird to some people, but then you find another soul who feels the same way.”

Del Rey and Dufrene, an alligator tour guide, tied the knot in Des Allemande, Louisiana on September 26, 2024. A source shared with People, “The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours.”
It was also the place where the couple first met, which made the small ceremony extra special. Ahead of the couple’s first wedding anniversary, Del Rey had nothing but praise for her husband. “Jeremy is the most impactful person in my life,” she told W. “He’s quiet in public, but around me he talks all the time.”
She also revealed that so far she’s only written one song about him, and it has a special spot on her setlist. “‘Stars Fell on Alabama,’ I open my show with that song,” Del Rey shared.
The “Summertime Sadness” chanteuse doesn’t seem deterred by her husband’s profession in any way, and in fact sounds like she’s enjoying it. “I was nervous at first, but Louisiana has nicer alligators than Florida,” Del Rey explained, adding, “Jeremy swims with the alligators!”

“Going into 2018 and 2019, it was a bad time and I had Hallmark running on the TV 24 hours a day,” she revealed. And it sounds like she’s still a big fan of the network. “My favorites are shows on the Hallmark Channel,” Del Rey shared. “Hallmark movies are great.”
