Andrew Walker Makes a Major Announcement About the Future of ‘Curious Caterer Mysteries’

While fans are undoubtedly excited to find out about any new Hallmark movies starring Andrew Walker, they’re surely particularly interested to find out about what’s in store for the actor’s popular “Curious Caterer Mysteries” co-starring Nikki DeLoach.

Fortunately for those who have been waiting for news about the beloved series, Walker has just made a major announcement about the future of the fabulously captivating, wonderfully dramatic and adorably romantic stories.

‘Will We Be Seeing More Curious Caterer Movies?’

On Monday, August 10, Walker shared a video of himself on Instagram that saw him answering 25 questions from fans in honor of Hallmark Channel’s 25th birthday. During the Q&A, he was asked, “What is your favorite movie of all time?”

“Hallmark movie, I assume,” Walker clarified before saying, “You know, they’re all my little children. I can’t pick just one.”

However, he was able to name a few that stand out, telling those who were watching, “Obviously, ‘The Wise Men’ are special. Ones that I’ve done with really close friends.”

He then added, “‘Curious Caterers,’ I love those.”

Elsewhere in the video, he also stated, “Obviously, my ‘Curious Caterers’ are very special to me…”

While it’s clear that Walker is fond of the “Curious Caterer Mysteries,” he’s definitely not alone. That’s why another fan asked, “Will we be seeing more Curious Caterer movies?”

Walker’s answer? “You betcha… Yes.”

Scripts Have Been Written for New ‘Curious Caterer Mysteries’

As it stands, Hallmark hasn’t started filming a new “Curious Caterer” movie, which is why Walker told Us Weekly back in May that fans who want to see more stories in the series should “message Hallmark and go to the chat groups and tell them how much you’re missing ‘Curious Caterer.'”

“I’ve been told that we might get some more episodes back. So we’re ready to go,” Walker told Us Weekly while mentioning the fact that the scripts have already been written.

Walker also noted that both he and his co-star are ready and waiting to film the sixth film that features Walker as Detective Tom Shultz and DeLoach as caterer Goldy Berry.

In each story, Goldy and Tom end up working together when a murder occurs, which viewers first saw in 2022’s “Dying for Chocolate.”

That was followed by “Grilling Season,” “Fatal Vows,” “Foiled Plans,” and, most recently, “Forbidden Fruit.”

Although the movies obviously focus on murder mysteries, fans have also watched as Tom and Goldy’s relationship has developed throughout each story. In “Foiled Plans,” we even got to see their first kiss, which led them to a full-on romance.

While talking to Us Weekly about what fans can expect from future “Curious Caterer Mysteries,” Walker admitted that he “can’t really tease much,” but did say that the next movie will “obviously dive into more of what Goldy and Tom’s relationship looks like.”

On top of that, Walker revealed that fans will find out more about the movies’ “peripheral characters,” such as Deputy Mason (Riley Davis) and Goldy’s assistant Marla Maguire (Jaycie Dotin).

“It really is now about what are the individual characters around [Goldy and Tom] and their peripheral doing? And where do they come from, and what are their hobbies and fun things they like to do?” Walker said. “Because they’re so developed, those characters, even though they’re not in it as much as Tom and Goldy are. But I think there’s just a lot of fun opportunities there.”
